Smells of vacation...

It is said that you will tend to remember smells longer than sight, touch or sounds.

I was doing laundry last night and was using "20 Mule Team Borax". When letting the borax combine with the water in the measuring cup, I noticed the smell that immediately made me think of the way the water smells from the fountains in the MK. I took it to my wife, she smelled it and then all of a sudden said "Disney!!". Makes you wonder what's in the water!!

I also think of the smell from the A/C on the monorails. I think it smells like strong band-aid smell (not the kind of band-aids now but the ones from 20 years ago!).

Then there is that smell that every hotel room smells like. Can't compare it but it just smells a certain way.

With that, what are some things that you smell and think of WDW?

I drive around for my job so when I smell the exhaust from trucks and buses it makes me think of standing in line for the WDW buses. Sometimes I'll get the smell of the monorail. Also they way the aiports smell.

Almost everything I smell reminds me of Disney. I really love sitting on my porch and the scent of damp wood. It reminds me of Splash Mountain! Just the smell of being outside sometimes reminds of me Disney.

For me the smeel thing starts in the airport, that BBQ place by the southwest airline terminals gets me started. Then we usually start off in magic kingdom and the bakery immediately takes over and then i am out of control. but that band aid smell you mentioned, thats totally right!!!!

the smell of Haunteed Mansion, merchandise stores, and the smell of hot asphalt. It's not the most attractive smell, but it reminds me of disney. I really love the smell of the attractions, though the most.

The hot asphalt reminds me of the subways in Philly and Boston.

As soon as I saw the topic of this thread I immediately thought of the smell on the monorail! I love that smell, not because it's a pleasing aroma, but because when I smell it, I know I'm on my way to the MK!

Another smell I will never forget is the smell in the lockers area under the train station. For some reason, it smells like syrup to me. Anytime I eat anything with syrup I am reminded of Disney. Anyone else ever notice that smell, or is it just me?
