Smell of the water...

I was walking at downtown Disney last week (at the margharita bar) and I noticed that the water from the lake smells rather bad (like sewage). Has this always been like this? Is it due to the hot weather?

Most likely algae growth.

Could be sewer gas seeping out of an open sanitary sewer line or manhole, due to all the construction.

Ah, Disney Swamp Gas. There are definitely years where it's worse than others on our trips. I'm guessing wind direction and time of year have an impact.

It was really warm and muggy in the crystalware store at DTD yesterday. WoD was uncomfortably warm as well, in addition to having a hint of urine in the air over in the BBB section of the store. Very very undisney.

The only nasty smell I have ever encountered is the smell of the fertilizer used at the resorts early in the morning. I swear it smells like nasty feet.

If it was early morning maybe it was from the sprinklers? That has a sulfur/rotten egg smell here in Florida. We always know when our neighbors sprinklers are on during the day!
