Smart ticket buying

Wanna way to see Disney cheaper? If you are planning on going 2 summers (or whenever) in a row, here's a way to do it. To buy a 7 day parkhopper plus ticket it costs $247.00 plus tax. Now then, if you really aren't interested in the water parks, buy a ANNUAL PASS :sohappy: , it costs 297.00 plus tax and is good for 365 days from your first visit. Now then.. here's what i did, the first year me and my family went in August, then the next summer we returned WITHOUT TICKETS TO BUY in July :sohappy: So basically.. i got 2 vacations for $50 more per head. Just something to play with...

It's called the 8 day rule.

If you plan to stay 8 or more days at WDW, it is less expensive to buy an AP. WDW wants to make money. They design their ticket sales to maximize profits.

We're gonna do 6nt/5days in Sept and again in June or July. We'll buy 5 day hopper plus passes and do 2 park days in Sept and 2 or 3 in June. One water park in Sept and prob 2 in June. That leaves lots of time for resort- and pool-hopping -- and naps for the kids. We will probably spend half a day at the Lego place at Downtown Disney. My kids like that as much as the parks. (Ie. if your kids like Legos it's a great way for them to have inexpensive fun at DW.)

Although I hate having to store tickets between trips, this allows us to park hop, which we can't do with the 1 day tickets. It saves only a little money. Park hopping is the real benefit of the multi-day tickets -- especially if you go to MK or AK, which close so early. Then you can go to EPCOT in the evening.

If you travel from Europe and you stay for a longer time you can also use the Funn in the sun pass , its about 300$ and it gives you unlimited access to Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot,DisneymMGM Studios , Disney's Animal Kingdom , Disney's Blizzard Beach, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon , Disney's River Country , Disney's Discovery Island , Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex , Pleasure Island , Disney quest , Edison Winter Home Fort Myers , Miami Seaquaribum , Dall Museum/St. Petersburg , Kennedy Space Center and Everglades Safari Park/ Miami
All of this for 30 days from the first date of using the pass
I've used this pass the last time i visited WDW and I just love all the great thing you can do , Its like a super hopper pass but less expensife . I buy the pass at my travel agent but there are some web spaces where you can buy it ( mostly German )

Where are you purchasing these tickets from? Disney is offering this ticket for 307 plus tax for adults. And the ticket outlet that I work with offers them at 299 (includes tax) Below are the up to date prices for adult and child tickets for Disney and Maple Leaf. The prices include tax .

7 Day Disney Park Hopper PLUS
WDW Gate Price $325.44 $261.84
Maple Leaf Tickets Price $299.00 $244.00

Maple Leaf is contracted by Disney to sell tickets for them.

oops!!!!!!!!! You are right there, i was looking at the ticket price for the 5day PHP. I knew there was only a 40something dollar difference between em. And that is straight from Disney. Sorry about the misprint. :)

We bought the FL Resident season pass and went three times on it. (a week each time) That wasn't the original plan but the FL Res. season pass was cheaper than a 5 day park hopper. That's why we could afford to go the other two times.:sohappy:

The AP is a great idea and a great deal. BUT, there is a downside. I don't know if they have the paper specially made or what. It just burns this terrible hole in my pocket or wherever else I store it. I also think it has some sort of hypnotic powers. No, it must have subliminal messages. We bought our last year and will be using them next month for our 4th trip on them before they run out! But I wouldn't have it any other way.

Another great thing about the AP is that you can get some GREAT hotel discounts. After our 2nd trip the hotel savings alone had already paid for passes for my husband and me!

My Premium Annual Pass is the greatest thing in the world. It gets us into anyplace (including Disney Quest and WWOS) we want at WDW. I also go almost twice a month, so we really get our Money out of it. BTW, all annual passes include free parking at all Theme Parks. Another great perk. We also get certain discounts, like 50% off at all Disney World Miniature Golf. Anyone wonder what WWOS means? It is Disney's Wide Waste of Space!

I just bought an Annual Pass this last trip in August, and what a difference it made in how I spent my time! No worrying about exactly how much time I spend in the parks per day, and which (and how many) days to go - I did what I wanted to, when I wanted to do it, and the best part is that I'll just make sure NEXT summer's trip is before my AP expires!

We bought AP's for the first time last year, and it is great! We have used it for 19 days so far and we still have 4 months left. It just makes the trip seem more relaxing not worring about getting up and out to the park early to maximize time so as not to 'waste' a day on the ticket going into the park for only a few hours. So if you plan on going for more than like 8 days in one year, definitely go for it, you also get some good discounts on restaurants and miniature golf and all.
