May help if you staying at a resort with hard to get reservations? Would love to snag a Beaches and Cream reservations for a late grilled cheese lunch!

Good to know, thanks.
Applies just for a restaurant in the resort you're staying at, I gather?

This makes sense. People staying in the actual resort should get priority to the restaurants within. Not sure exactly how this works though? Do all resort guests get to access the entire reserved pool, or is it select resorts? I wouldn’t mind something like Epcot resorts getting access to that area’s restaurants and MK resorts getting access to monorail restaurants. Wilderness Lodge should get dibs on Storybook Dining. It would be frustrating to be staying a week at Riviera and unable to get a Topolino’s ADR.

I'm not sure? It's new so I'm not reading a lot about it. I don't start booking our ADRs until February, but I think it means there will be more open slots at time of ADR booking for us than for non-resort people. I'm trying for Topolinos too (staying at BC) so if I can snag it, maybe it's for all resorts?

I have a co-worker going in mid-December and she said Boma was impossible to get. I just now read this and told her. I hope the inventory isn't already gone and she can snag one.

My reading is not the specific resort but anyone with a WDW resort reservation.

"Select Walt Disney World restaurants are now setting aside additional dining reservation inventory for guests with a confirmed hotel stay on the date that they would like to make a reservation to dine. The additional reservation inventory will be bookable when the guest is eligible to book – that is when a valid hotel reservation has been linked to the My Disney Experience account, and when the restaurant is accepting reservations for the date in question. Guests with a valid Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation will automatically see the additional capacity in the My Disney Experience app or website that guests without a linked reservation would not see."

Disney resort guests should have all along gotten some advantages for booking onsite. The slightest nod makes us feel appreciated in some way. We should be rewarded for deciding in favor of a resort room than an outside stay. It would be nice if this increased to other dining spots across property. Now if only there were a rewards program for return guests.

Looks to be a pilot program. Here's hoping its a win-win for WDW and resort guests that it can potentially be expanded.
