Slight Spring Break freak-out

I feel like such a dumb-dumb. my young non-school age family is going March 4- 10th. I've been crazy obsessively planning this trip since our last trip, but somehow I missed it on cheking the crowd levels by number. The 8th, 9th, and 10th are all at level 8 out of ten. I'm freaking out because we thought we were going before the spring break crowds begin... :(

It's silly for my non-school aged family to go when everyone else is going but I'm worried about the cost of changing flights etc.

How bad are the parks at level 8? Is it worth the hassle and expense of changing the dates to a week earlier?

It's busy. How much would it cost to change dates? It's worth at least looking into. Some airlines have more lenient policies than others (e.g. southwest has no change fee).

I am not familiar with Jet Blue's change policies. However, I wouldn't spend too much money changing flights. I have been to WDW while parks are at capacity. My advice would be to get to the parks early and do the major things. During busy hours head back to the resort for some play time or a nap and then return to the park at night. I is going to be busy but if you manage your time you will be okay. Also, take advantage of extra magic hours!

The 4-10th will be busy, but it won't be as bad as if u were going a week or 2 later! As long as you do what @HollyAD suggested, you should be fine...also, not sure of Jet Blue policies, but does change of flight and cancellation count as the same thing?

THere is a $75 change fee. They are unclear if it is $75 for the itinerary, the per person round trip or per each flight. That a difference between $75, $300 and $600. Basically thats now my determining factor right now on whether we go earlier or not. I'm SO mad at myself right now...cant believe i missed that!

Spring break season is basically all of March and April, with the worst crowd levels of it being the week preceding Easter and the week after. Unless you plan to change your dates to the last week of February (or wait until May) your current dates will be fine, since most schools/colleges won't be on break that early in March.

Having just returned from a week in the so-called "slow" season of September, I can confirm that the parks are always busy now. Save your money, keep your current plans and go have fun!!

Are the crowd levels really accurate though? We went last September during the slow season and it was an esitmated level 4. Couldn't even imagine an 8 or higher?
