Does anybody have any more information on the Sky pavilion? (possible locatoin, attractions, etc, debut) any information would be appreciated.

also, whats in for the living seas? i have read numerous posts that the living seas has already had some changes, but what else is in store for this pavilion? I understand that a lot of work is being done to it on the inside. It seems like Future world itself is under construction.

Thanks, any informatino would be great! :p

The Seas will be geeting a much needed overhaul currently there have been some Finding Nemo additons made both on the outside with a meet and greet and then one observation chamber has been convereted to Friend's of Nemo which covers allot of the aquatic life that would be found in Nemo's world.

The lower observation deck is completely closed off for rehab.

Supposidly a major rehab is coming early this year.

The "Sky" pavilion that you speak of must be Soarin'. That is being built in between the land and imagination pavilions. It will be considered part of the Land pavilion. There are already signs up there for it. It will open in Spring 2005.

As far as the Living Seas goes, the Nemo change over has already begun. It should be completed throughout the year. Expect the pavilion to close for the biggest part of the rehab within the next couple of months.

Yeah! I heard they were spending $100,000,000 on the project to be open in 2005. It's a big round room with no roof. You go in and look up!

That, and a remake of The Land Pavillion. The land is supposed to be a huge pavillion with no floor. You go go in and are imediately on The land. :lookaroun

I thik they shold combine the land and the sky pavillions. 4 walls and it's done.

*not poking fun* :animwink:

I think he was referring to a much rumored (but not gonna happen) new EPCOT pavillion that was to represent people's connection to weather etc.

I have been designing (for fun) such a pavillion...currently it is gonnna be a very advanced dark ride that takes guests through a journey that explores the human connection to weather, scientific advancements, and the dangers of weather (hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.) I envision it has a ride that captures the old spirit of EPCOT

You can check out my teaser poster here

also, what are your ideas as to what will be placed inside the living seas?

We're all human...making mistakes is in our nature...

Location of the "weather" pavilion....some old rumors pointed to the area between The Land and The Living Seas (some to the area where Soarin' is being built)...although I don't know any new rumors about a weather pavilion...there are rumors that a coaster will go in that area...if it will go inside a "weather" pavilion that, like the coaster rumor, remains to be seen....

Seeing as Test Track and M:S are on the other side of FW....Soarin' will need a counterpart to balance out FW...should be interesting to see what they do...

OK, imagineer99 has me sold... you should go work for Imagineering creating teaser posters. That's much better than what we got for Soarin'.

Don't worry about these guys, AkEverestAK, there's just as many nice people on these forums, too. Welcome!

Hey I'm sorry.
Just buggin' you.
And I meant what I said about us all screwin up.
I've heard about this as well, my understanding was that it was supposed to be a clone (or a slightly changed version) of Stormrider from Tokyo Disney Seas.
Maybe they will replace WOL with it one day.
As far as the area between The Land and TLS the last thing I read was making use of the old Rocket Rods from Disneyland.
As for what they would be used for I have no idea.
Any truth to this? Again no idea, just telling you the last thing I read.
Before that it was a Rain Forest Roller Coaster.
Jimhillmedia.com has an article on Project Gemini (if you haven't seen it) it may be what you're looking for.
Apparently it's a little out of date, but it will give you a basic overview.

I think we are all under the impression that it will be some sort of Nemo Overlay.
A Nemo Dark ride useing the old ride system is the biggest rumor right now (unless that's changed and I have not picked up on it).
A fellow at Mouseinfo who "claimed" to be in the know told me that a Nemo Dinner Show was going to be put in. With a Nemo themed pre-show for the attraction. No Nemo dark ride.
This sounded odd to me eating fish while watching a Nemo show. CREEPY and Wrong on so many levels. I wrote to Jim Hill who confirmed that he had heard this as well from his "source" so I don't know. He (Hill) also said that a Little Mermaid Dinner show has trying to get off the ground for Downtown Disney for years.
Little Mermaid was the original Overlay idea before Nemo.

The Living Seas / Finding Nemo Changes?

So, does this all mean that you can't see the actual marine life in the tanks?

Also - the "teaser posters" to "Changing Skies" is pretty cool! I haven't heard that one before. Is that a legit attraction?

Here's
an interior pic of Storm Rider at TDS. Although i've been on it, i didn't take a picture, this is one i found on someone else's site awhile back. But it shows how similar it is to Body Wars/Star Tours as i've said in the past. It held more than BW/ST though, and if you've been to TDS you know why.

If a weather pavilion is decided upon, it probaly won't be finalized to be built for at least another year.

The only things I've heard going between Land/Seas are either (1) possible roller coaster or (2) a ride involving Rocket Rods that connects the two pavilions.

This BLUE SKY information has been gathered by similar sources who had predicted the Food Rocks closure/Seas phases since last May-Fall.

Hopefully, Lee can get us some more insight as I won't be in contact with these people for a couple of months.
