Skippy

There are 2 Skippys, one in each tube or teleport. When the tubes fill up with smoke, the Skippy animatronic in one is lowered out of sight, and the one in the other tube ( the one he is being "teleported" to) raises it's animatronic skippy, which is the burnt up one.

Its all done with mirrors. The empty space that you think you can see underneath the tube is infact a reflection from another part of the room. :)

the bottom of each tube is mirrors.. I worked at that attraction for 8 months, and we would always be on th elookout for external lights since that would ruin the effect

Something that really bugged me on my last trip..... I could see a big finger print on the mirror underneath the tube. It was there for a couple of days, and if you noticed it, really spoilt the effect. Evertyime I saw it, I wanted to hop over the barrier and give it a polish LOL :) I really shouldnt look at these things so closely! ;)

umm.. please don't :D

the entire floor surrounding that area has motion sensors that will stop the entire attraction and drain the fluids from all animatronics (which takes approx. 45 mins to refill)

For the amount of money that SIR cost to build, I am surprised there arent armed guards on patrol by that barrier!!! ;)

and also in case the estop is caused due to a fluid leaking, it drains it. This happens at timekeeper in the mornings a lot. The LN2 valves freeze open, and the first show usually gets estopped. I've seen it happen in AE once, when skippy in the 2nd tube started leaking hydraulic fluid. Skippy was wading in an inch or so of it.

I've also seen the timekeeper peeing (not literally.. but that's what it looked like!)

Sensors

So, the sensors that you speak of in AE, mkt, is that the reason why they won't allow video taping in the Stitch version as well as AE? I never would use external lighting inside an attraction but maybe they're so afraid of that and that's why they don't allow it.

they don't allow video taping so light doesn't get into the dark scenes, thus ruining a ruined attraction
