1. Can you buy the unlimited pass the day of your visit, or do you have to pre-order it online?
2. Is it really worth it to get it most of the time (we are visiting May 30th), or is it basically a waste of money?

You can buy the pass at the ticket booths on your day of visit, I don't know what the crowds are like in May, generally the ticket seller will advise you if they think you need it or not, the choice is then up to you. My BF has always been told "the park is not that busy today, you should be fine" but yet he buys them anyway!

Its Memorial Day so it will be busy. The best way is to guage how long manta will be. On busy days it canbe up to an hr and journey to atlantis the same ... it all depends on the crowds

Ok here are a few other tips ...

Do not go to the first dolphin or shamu show!!
They are the fullest. Dolphin show because of 1st show of day and shamu show cuz everyone rushes over there.
Also shamu character is only out until noon.
Do not go to the restraunts between 1 and 2 you can weight 30min for food
Skip allure show ... no animals in ... (it puts me to sleep)
I love the other shows like pets ahoy (rescued animals) and clyde and seymore
Also there is a second day free you can get with ticket (usally for sea world only but you can always see if they will do it for aquatica or busch) sometimes they run the ability to do that sometimes they dont

Being that you'll be there on Memorial Day, it will most likely be busy during the morning and early afternoon, but the crowds will dwindle as the day goes as many people will have to leave and head home for work on Tuesday.

We usually hit SeaWorld on holidays like Memorial Day around 4PM and there's hardly long waits at all. I don't know how long you plan to stay at the park on the 30th, but the later it gets, the less packed the park will be.

As others have said, don't miss the Clyde & Seamore show! It's the best show in the park! If they're doing their After Dark shows, it makes fun of everything else in the park! As for Allure, it's not the best show, but if it's a hot and humid day, the show allows for 40 minutes of A/C! Grab a beer (that you have to pay for) and enjoy come cool!
