Sixth Tokyo Disney Resort Official Hotel Announced

URAYASU, CHIBA—Oriental Land Co., Ltd., announced that it concluded a contractual agreement with Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel, Ltd., and Disney Enterprises, Inc., to make Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel one of the Tokyo Disney Resort Official Hotels. The Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel is a new hotel which will be located in Tokyo Disney Resort and is scheduled to open in March 2007.

The Tokyo Disney Resort Official Hotels have the ability to offer guests staying at them guaranteed entry into Tokyo Disneyland Park and Tokyo DisneySea Park. They also carry out tie-ins and promotional activities for the two Parks, can use photos of the Parks in their brochures, and generally help to promote sales for the Parks.

With the addition of Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel, there will now be a total of six

The Tokyo Disney Resort Official Hotels:
・Sunroute Plaza Tokyo
・Tokyo Bay Hotel Tokyu
・Hilton Tokyo Bay
・Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay
・Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel
・Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel (tentative opening: March 2007)

I was getting ready to say I thought they only had two

I'm glad to see the clarification at the end.

That place sounds like it is really growing big time. If you build it, they will come, I guess.

it is very low risk when 90% of the park guests come from the Metro Tokyo area, and Tokyo itself is EXTREMELY underserved by hotels (due to land costs and building height guidelines)

For example....Ritz Carlton is just now building its first hotel is Tokyo......after trying for 20+ years to get the right piece of land.
