Have any of you booked with Sixt rental car agency at the Orlando airport location? I haven't read too much about them but they had much lower fares for the dates we want. I made the reservation just in case I can't find something better, but I figured that I'd ask if any of you had dealt with them before. Thanks!

Never heard of them. We generally use Dollar - book the city special from their website.

Groovy, I'll check that out right quick! Back in September, Budget was the lowest by far, and that was for an SUV. not so much this time around....

Thanks for posting this. I had never heard of SIXT but was contemplating booking them for a trip to Germany this summer.

I thought I remembered hearing something about then holding a large deposit on cards. I'll have to look elsewhere because I don't like that.

This is what I did with Alamo. They had no-deposit reservations, so I was able to get a (much) better price the day before I left for Orlando.

Anyone ever dealt with Firefly or Payless or E-Z?

Payless is Ok. I like dollar for the dollar express which skips the line and gives a free car grade upgrade. It's free to sign up plus they usually have the best price in airport.

We looked briefly at firefly but the reviews weren't very good on it (many commented on extra fees when bringing the car back). We got a great deal booking through Priceline and renting with Alamo. It was $25/day. Only downside with Priceline is that it is final sale so you can't cancel it. But we just booked right before we left and didn't have any issues!

I booked via Southwest's website and got Alamo for now. The mid size SUV was the same price as the mid size car so I couldn't pass that up. I'll check out the Dollar price, and I think I'm a member too.
