when going to disney for 7 days i dont think we will use 7 sit down meals, probally only around 5. I was just wondering if were not going to use all 7 sit down meals would the dining plan be worth it? or can we maybe use the remaining 2 sit down meals for a snack or counter service?

If you only want to have five Table Service meals but have seven credits, you could always book two double-credit meals. Some places to consider:

Jiko – The Cooking Place
Flying Fish Café
California Grill
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
Mickey’s Backyard BBQ
Cítricos
Narcoossee’s
Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
Artist Point
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Once Upon a Time Breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table
A Fairytale Lunch at Cinderella’s Royal Table
Dreams Come True Dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table
The Hollywood Brown Derby

All are two-credit meals. Enjoy!

good idea! i never thought of that.. are they "fancy" though? were not really into big fancy dinners.. i am willing to try anything but my dbf that will be joining me on the next trip is well rather picky..are these places accomodating to picky eaters.. he loves pasta, so we are hoping to find a place that serves the best pasta on property and tips??

The shows and character meals aren't "fancy":

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue - fun show
Mickey’s Backyard BBQ - characters and BBQ
Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show - elaborate show, but good food
Once Upon a Time Breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table - All You Care To Eat Breakfast and Princesses
A Fairytale Lunch at Cinderella’s Royal Table - I think this is Princesses and lunch
Dreams Come True Dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table - a little fancy, but a lot romantic

My parents and I are considering this for our stay in Oct. Does anyone know how many points these restaurants are?

Tony's,
Shula's,
Mitsukoshi,
Coral Reef,
Bistro de Paris,
Chefs de France,
Palio,
Spoodles,
L'Originale Alfredo di Roma,

... as you can tell, we do most of our eating in the Epcot/Boardwalk area. :)

The complete list of restaurants and points for them is here. I think all you've mentioned are one credit each [I didn't check...].

Backyard BBQ and Hoop Dee are both a quick boats ride from MK. You can hit them for 2 hours and head back to the park, esp on EMH nights.

Thanks for posting that link. We are thinking about doing the MYW Dining on our next trip and now I have the info I needed. The more I read about it, the more iit sounds like a good idea.
