Do any of the rides at UA/IOA have a single rider line?

Can you add the express pass option to the free ticket that they gave away on the Super bowl? Can you just purchase it for one day of the seven day ticket or do you have top pay for all 7-days?

Express passes are sold seperate from tickets and are different prices on different days. There are single rider lines at these attractions: Revenge of the Mummy and MIB at USF. Doctor Doom and maybe Spiderman at IOA.

There are single rider lines for a few rides. The rides that have a single rider line are:

Universal Studios

Revenge of the Mummy
Men In Black

IOA

Incredible Hulk Coaster
Doctor Doom's Fearfall
The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man

The Express Pass option is a separate ticket that you will need to buy. The price ranges depending on the time of the year from $19.99 - $45.99 for a 1 park pass or from $25.99 - $52.99 for a 2 park pass. These passes are only good for one day and only once per ride or attraction.

They do offer a 2 park Universal Express VIP pass for $149.99 that is good for 1 day and allows you to use the Express Pass lines multiple times for every ride.

You can buy a 2 park Universal Express VIP pass that is good for 7 days but it is only available online and costs $259.99.

If you can afford to spend an extra $150 I would recommend their 2 park VIP Tour as you will get more out of it. The tour lasts from 10am to 5pm and you will hit a majority of the rides in both parks and will skip any lines as the tour guide takes you straight to the loading area with no wait. I did this last year and it was well worth the money.

You can find out the prices for the Express passes here:

The VIP Tour link is:

Thanks for the info.

I am going for 2 1/2 days on Thanksgiving day, the Friday after Thanksgiving and that Saturday. I am pretty much resigned to the fact that it will be PACKED beyond belief. I am using 3 days of the free 7-day superbowl ticket. I am weighing my options on doing the "Express Pass"

Since I will be there that many days over a major holiday, do you guys think it would be more to my dollar advantage to buy the one day one park express pass(I know this will keep me stuck at one park until I use all my Express Pass rides up) then get another one for the other park the next day or Go for the 1 day 2 park Express Pass(With it being holiday crowds can I hit all the rides the pass gets you on in one day?)

Any insider info or views appreciated

Look into staying at one of the on property hotels and you get express pass with that! Your room key is your pass!

Weigh the prices of the extra express pass costs to the hotel and see if there's a comparable figure that works!

I checked that out. Thats way more expensive thn the $20-$43 a day the express pass will cost.

Does anyone know when US/IOA are at capacity crowds how long the express pass lines get? or single rider lines? I will be doing this trip solo so I can also use the single rider lines. I think two out of the three days(Friday & Saturday) I will get the express pass. If I read the website correctly for the 2 park one its going to run $75 for two days. After all my ticket to get in the parks is free.

I went in late August of 2008, and my fiancee and I did the entire park twice before 2pm. We took a Mears bus back to WDW and spent the rest of the night at Epcot.

It is wise to note that although the rides listed above most often have single riders lines, they do not always have the single riders lines open. In slack periods, Spiderman will close the single riders line altogether.

But Do you think the single rider lines will be open Thanksgiving Weekend. On the Express Pass price calendar it shows that it is the second highest price, so they must be predicting a huge crowd. So you would think all single rider lines would be open.

I went around Christmas and because it was crowded the single rider lines were all open. The longest wait for me in the single rider line on the Spider-Man ride was 30 minutes and at that time the standby line was over a 2hr wait. The quickest single rider lines are in this order MIB, Mummy, Doctor Doom's Fearfall, Hulk and Spider-Man. The single ride for the Hulk uses the Express Pass line up to a certain point where they split.

Yes, they will be open, but the line at high times such as this can be (help me out here as I have never set a stop watch on this) 20-40 minutes. Weekends will be the worst, and unless I am desperate for an escape, I never go to the parks on the weekends.

But when you live 1000 miles from the parks you gotta go when opportunity knocks...So its Express Pass to try to help deal with the pain

Right... I am "down the street" and you are not. Good plan. Have a most excellent time!

PS: (by then, the construction on the WWOHP will have us all peeing our pants) so expect a whole other attraction that is nothing but incredible construction and fabrication.

PS PS: If you really love theming, spend an hour in Camp Jurassic. You might feel silly as it is aimed at kids, but is over the top theming and effects. I have rarely seen the age group of 8-12 having so much fun in a disney park. It can be kids mayhem in CJ. The two level dino squirtguns are a hoot to watch. Very clever and thoughtful design.

I am in the minority so dont kill me here. I have never read a Harry Potter book or seen any of the movies. So unless they have some really jaw dropping attractions there I will just walk through.

The books are definately worth a read, much better than the films. That's not saying the films arn't good.

I'd recommend the Express during Thanksgiving break. They might cost a pretty penny but they are SO worth it, even when the lines are 30 minutes... get there early and hit Spiderman/Hulk/Mummy/Men in Black (depending on the park) and then hit them up again later with your express for re-rides. With Express there's no pressure and you can pretty much hit whichever ride you want, whenever you want... basically a guarantee you'll see everything.

Regarding the Harry Potter area - as it stands, it looks like it will include a refurbished Dueling Dragons coaster (which is an amazing ride in itself), plus what looks to be a Spiderman topper type ride featuring robotic arm technology. Fans of the books or not, it should be incredible.

Have a great trip!

According to the website, the Harry Potter Area wont be open until 2010. I will be there in November 2009. So more than likely all I will see is just some stuff rising above construction walls.
