Yes, sometimes it felt like you waited longer in the Soarin' single rider line than the normal queueIt sure feels like someone is decreeing that there must be at least x number of attractions at the resort with single rider lines at all times, failing to recognize that most of the single rider lines at Disneyland are useless because they're not properly run. They'd be better off making their existing singles lines actually useful, IMO, rather than just mindlessly adding them to new things.
A Star Tours singles line will probably function like Soarin's in that it's hard to imagine it will function very effectively because of the number of people that need to be grouped together. That's presumably why Soarin' no longer has a singles line.
As I recall its been there off and on for a few years now. I think they first tried it in 2017 or 2018, and then added it permanently in late 2019.I just looked up single rider lines on the DL site. Of the ten rides, there was Star Tours. I don't remember ST having a single rider line. How long has this been? Are the single rider lines running normally these days?
Where is it? I can't even imagine where the heck they would put it.As I recall its been there off and on for a few years now. I think they first tried it in 2017 or 2018, and then added it permanently in late 2019.
Its in the same hallway as the Handicap entry inside StarTraders.Where is it? I can't even imagine where the heck they would put it.
I guess they changed it, that is where it used to be. Now it appears its right in front as shown here in this FreshBaked vid:Its in the same hallway as the Handicap entry inside StarTraders.
Ah, the same nonsense that renders most of their SRLs unusable. Wonderful. Its in the same hallway as the Handicap entry inside StarTraders.

Well personally I've found most of the SRLs workable myself, used them many times.Ah, the same nonsense that renders most of their SRLs unusable. Wonderful.
Not sure why literally every other Disney and Universal park can figure this out but for DLR it's rocket science, even when they have a couple of SRLs that accidentally function correctly.

I get that they weren't built with SRL in mind, but if they're going to do it I'd appreciate them taking the time to really do it properly. If it's not possible to do it the way they should, I'd rather them not do it.Well personally I've found most of the SRLs workable myself, used them many times.
But remember that a majority of the DLR attractions weren't built with SRLs in mind. Its a modern concept that only now (Post-2000s) is being built into the newer attractions at DLR.
What really slows it down in my experience is that the SRLs merged with guests using DAS. Now, DAS needs to exist and serves a valid, necessary purpose. But when you dump Single Riders into that queue, as happens at Splash and Indy, among others, you're not serving either DAS guests or Single Riders well. Particularly single riders, as I have no idea in that moment if the wait actually is the amount I'd be waiting if I really was waiting in a line with only singles, or if the singles line is clear, actually, but I can't access it because I'm stuck behind DAS users. Maybe I've just had awful luck, but that has been my experience a number of times.I think what slows them down so much is the cast members spend a lot of time looking for parties of two on Splash and the Matterhorn instead of taking from the Single Rider line. The Single Rider line on both those rides is ridiculously slow and it slows down dispatches when the cast members take time looking for parties of two instead of just letting two singer riders on.
