Yup. Every review I read says that it requires quite a bit of hardware to run properly. It's also gotten really complicated. I'm actually looking forward to Tropico 2, where you get to run a pirate island! Yo ho ho! :D

Recommended
1 GHz Pentium III
256 MG RAM
1.5 GB Hard Drive Space

I'm playing it on my 2 year old computer. I have all of the requirements except the video card, the most important part. I have a 8 MG integrated card. Thats why I need a new computer. :)

You dont need a new computer for it, If you only need the graphic card then buy the GEForce4 One. Mine didnt work but I bought a new graphic card and it finally worked. But if its somthing else.. Hm..

Do you have any space port slots? I have an integrated card as well, and I just bought a new card and and using that instead.

All of the PC's I've put together recently with built-in video don't have an AGP slot, so you're stuck with PCI if you don't want to use the on-board video port.

Integrated stuff if great for the office, terrible for the gamer.

Even on my system (which is normally more than fast enough for everything) it gets hung up every so often..games today have extreamly high requirements (unreal 2, doom 3 etc)...but damn..its sooo worth it.

You know the saying... If it's on the shelf, it's obsolete.

whoa...it slows down on YOUR system?

is this the dual processor system?

As for my computer, it wouldn't matter whether or not my graphics card was integrated or not. My computer is a laptop, so I definetly wouldn't have a APG slot.:brick:
