Silly things we did while sampling some of the fine spirits offered at Walt DisneyWorld

So you thought it would be one heck of thread...

Here it is, tell us your silly spirit stories...
Well, I already told you my Lapu Lapu story .... but, we go to the F&W festival just about every year... Two years ago, it was unseasonably HOT during the end of October, and we decided to do our "drink around the world", First stop, was Mexico (no surprise there) and I ordered up a frozen margarita. (YUM!!) then, to china for a Happy Lichee (YUM again), a few stops later, (which I did not partake in, not a beer drinker) I sashayed up to the kiosk, and wanted to order another Happy Lichee. The CM said they didn't have Happy Lichee's, and offered me other spirits. I of course, was adamant on wanting another Happy Lichee. (I held up my almost gone Happy Lichee and exclaimed, well how did I get this one then!!!!) I look up, and see I'm in GERMANY!! nope, no Happy Lichees here. I felt like such a fool, I thought it was best that I switch my spirits to a cool freshing coke LOL. My DH says it best, I'm a cheap date!!! LOL

Okay here's mine.... Not really silly, sad really I have no stamina...:p My favorite cocktail other than a very dirty martini is a Bellini. We take a lovely stroll and orderup 2 Bellini's from the Kiosk, one for me one for DH. To his disappointment they were not "Venezia" and I unwillingly ;) drank both. (DH is very fussy about his Bellini) We then continued on to France where I enjoyed a wine flight with a very nice couple we got to chatting with in Italy's square. DH doesn't drink wine so I promised we would head over to Germany so he could do some beer sampling. As DH went to get his beer I waited on the bench. When he returned I was fast asleep. DH sat me up and I napped for about 40 minutes on his shoulder.

Well here we go.Whilst staying at POFQ we met this Texan couple in the bar one night, and we got chatting about various drinks. He then ordered a " Flamming Drambuie " This drink arrived at the table and the waitress produced a lighter and set it alight,as the small flames licked the side of the glass. He lifted it up and blew the flames to the back of the glass and downed the drink in one go.Unfortunately the flames zoomed back to the front of the glass and set fire to his moustache.Well his face was a picture and his DW said in a strong Texan accent. " That ones for the alamo " By this time I was onto my tenth McCallan whisky and I was congratulating him for his awesome feat,as the tears were streaming down my face.I almost fell in the sassagoula river that night. No way will I order that one.

We dont really have a silly story but last year we went to the food and wine festival and we got the passport, well my wife was determined we would get a stamp for every country so we ate and ate and drank and drank and we got to the american pavilion and we could barely walk lol we were soo tired and quite tipsy (in a good way though) i was nominated for the next drink to get the stamp and i got chatting to the CM and they politely asked why i was so tired..... so i explained getting the passport filled and she said i didnt have to get food or drink at every country i could just ask for the stamp! My god we were both so happy we didnt have to eat or drink anymore! we didnt even stay for illuminations we were soo tired... lol :)

Well I don't know how "silly" this is, but here goes. :)

During Wine & Dine 2011, my DH ran the half-marathon. While he did that, I did my darnedest to drink around the World. ;) I did pretty well until I got to France and ordered a frozen Cosmo (which was sooo soooo good). While I'm standing in line to get my Cosmo (already half-sloshed), I notice off in the distance that the runners are starting to zoom past (on the pathway just outside International Gateway).

I head over there with my slushie, and decide I must show my support for my DH by being out at the pathway cheering him on when he runs past. I double-check with a CM to make sure I can get back into the park -- and CM graciously informs me "yes, but you can't take your drink out with you." Bleh.

I proceed to start pounding the slushie drink -- which then gave me massive brain freeze. I ended up throwing away half of the drink since I didn't want to miss my DH running by.

(The happy ending, though, is that he finished the race shortly after this incident. I met up with him, and he proceeded to drink around the World (and I kind of did again). Park was open until 3am, and we hung in there 'til about 2:45am. It was a really fun night!!)

We need time for things to happen.
My wife used to be quite a drinker, but she's slowed down to a complete crawl and now get buzzed at the slightest taste of wine.
On a trip a couple of years back..we decided to share a delicious Gran Marnier slushie.
I sipped from the glass she used the straw...the straw that was firmly logged in the base of the glass where all the alcohol resides..Here is a visual aide....

Well mix that with the hot florida sun..and needless to say WDW soon became a little bit more magical for her...
this resulted in a number of things happening..(we had ressies at the R &C) first asking a random vactioner outside of Rose and Crown
"when we were going to be seated" The look on this persons face was priceless...My daughter 12 at the time and very embarressed had to take over become the adult...where was I? Hmm..Laughing too hard.
Here is us seated...My wife in her giggly red faced glory --

The look on my daughter's face says it all..if I'm not mistaken...she may be wiping off a
"come on your love your mom even though I just embaressed you.." slobbery kiss...
