I've got to warn you all, you guys might not like this idea, but ever since I performed a musical called Seussical a few years ago before the pandemic which is like this: I was thinking of creating a musical for fun based on Silly Symphonies cartoons called Silly Symphonies: The Musical. it's a work in progress, but here's my idea.
Act 1
Bucky the Bug is the host of the show and begin an opening musical number with other characters like Three Little Pigs, Big Bad Wolf, Max Hare, Toby Tortoise, Ugly Duckling, and more. Then they make way to the Goddess of Spring to welcome to the celebration of spring. Then they begin to perform some stories from Silly Symphonies cartoons. The first one is Three Little Pigs where the pigs do a sing and dance number. And then Big Bad Wolf came in with a little bit of hip hop number. Then there's the Tortoise and the Hare number. Not only Max Hare is running on stage but also showing off his tap dancing routines. Then there's the Ugly Duckling, Grasshopper and the Ant, Wise Little Hen, and more.
Act 2
They begin doing a couple of sequel stories like Three Little Pigs with Little Red Riding Hood and The Tortoise and the Hare when they're on a boxing ring. Until suddenly, Pluto the Devil (Not a dog) came in and capture the Goddess of Spring to become the Queen of down there. The characters tried to stop him but the devils fight them off and won. Pluto the Devil crown Goddess if Spring their Queen and they begin a song and dance number. Meanwhile, the characters are mourning of the loss of the Goddess of Spring when winter came and Bucky sings a sad ballad about it. Pluto the Devil is upset that the Goddess of Spring is still sad and begs her to tell him what will he do to please her. Then the Goddess begs him to let her go and go back to the land up there or the land will die in the winter. Pluto decides to let her go, however, he said she must promise to return every half of year down there. And the Goddess agrees and promise. The Goddess came back and the spring is sprung again and everybody happy. The Goddess made an announcement to everyone that she must return to down there every half of year which horrifies the characters, but she told them, don't worry, she will always and forever return. And they begin to sing a happily ever after finale.
I know this maybe a silly idea and I know they're maybe some of you are not fans of musicals, but I love musicals. If you guys don't like this idea, well, what do you guys suggest? Give it some thoughts.
