So I need to purchase a shutter release for my Nikon D3100 before my trip in 3 weeks. I have been looking on Amazon (good ol' Amazon. Love that site!) and I'm not sure if I should go with a wired or wireless one. What are you guys using and do you like how it works? I need some feedback :)

I say wired as well. I used to use a wireless one because I thought it would be more convenient, but then I had it die in the middle of Wishes! and I've used a wired one since.

I got mine from Ebay for next to nothing (I think honestly less than $2 shipped) and it's been great, used it for over a year now. I know lots of people say you shouldn't trust 3rd party accessories because they won't last as long bla bla bla. But there is no need to spend $35 on a Nikon one. Plus for a little more on Ebay (~$10) you can get ones that have interval timers.

Agreed. I got mine on Ebay (about $2) and never had a problem with it.

agreed... only reason I have the nikon is that I get most accessories with tax exempt and at wholesale through my shop. I wish I had the same deal on bodies and lenses but I throw them enough money that any lens caps, cheap accessories type stuff they toss at me for what they pay
