Should've Done With Snow White

This is what I think they should've done for the Snow White's Scary Adventures. Meet and Greets are taking over the whole park, but they should have put the Princess Fairytale Hall where the Skyrail (or whatever it's called used to be).

Then with the Snow White ride building they could've changed it to Tangled. That would've been a sure e-ticket with tons of people coming in to ride it because Rapunzel is the most popular princess.

Do you guys think this should've happened?

I would've replaced the Snow White ride with a Sleeping Beauty ride. I mean, think of it. They had originally intended not to duplicate any of the Disneyland dark rides for WDW anyway. In the case of Snow White, they wanted to replace it with Sleeping Beauty. So consider this: the Sleeping Beauty ride could almost be not too different from Snow White. For example, at the part where the Seven Dwarfs chase the Witch up the mountain and she tries to crush them with a boulder, this could be a scene of Prince Philip battling Maleficent as the dragon. Through some kind of effect, you could see the Sword of Truth hitting Maleficent-as-the-dragon and killing her. Then at the scene where you see the prince kissing Snow White in the coffin, there would be the scene of Philip kissing Aurora. And the final scene of the Dwarfs waving goodbye to Snow White and the prince could be the scene inside the castle, where you see Aurora and Philip dancing together to "Once Upon a Dream". Just like in the final scene of the movie, you would see Flora and Merryweather alternately turn Aurora's dress from blue to pink and back.

I like the idea, mharrington, but I had another idea.

I was originally thinking a drop tower surrounding the battle with Maleficent in dragon form, but now I'm thinking a dark-ride/drop tower, similar to TOT! Tell me what you think.

As much as I like this idea for Fantasyland, I don't think it would look nice as close to the castle as it is...maybe somewhere else.

I'm actually surprised WDI didn't convert it into another darkride, but the Disney Princess craze is, in fact, crazy! I don't remember the exact article, but I think an Imagineer said that making a new darkride here wouldn't work because the space is too small to meet expectations of current/new darkrides being built, especially compared to the new, huge LM attraction opening later. I have two ideas, actually:

1) It is very close to Cinderella Castle, relocate the carousel to where Dumbo previously was to build a grand fountain where the carousel used to be with fancy carriage rides (Disney could even make it a separately priced experience) around it and the castle area making it a whole new experience as you walk into the main entrance of Fantasyland. In place of Snow White, build Lady Tremaine's Manor. The grand enterance (AKA "living/family room") leads up to three doors, Lady Tremaine's, Anastasia's, and Drizzela's (spell check :veryconfu ) with them meeting and greeting guests in front of them with an advanced audio animatronic Lucifer purring at guests while they wait in line. Beyond the Staircase and villain M/G (I personally love Disney villains and I don't think they get the respect they deserve) is the Cinderella Ball type experience previously taken away from the Fantasyland expansion.

2) A whole new type of simulator ride adding some family-friendly thrill to Fantasyland! Shrink to the size of Cinderella's mice (Jaq, Gus, Suzy, etc) as they take you on a mice-sized tour of Cinderella Castle (like Star Tours) through special places like the kitchen, the dungeon, the castle moat, the Dream Suite, Cinderella's Royal Table, and more! With Jaq and your animatronic guide and Suzy and your stewardist, jump inside your larger than light, motorized knight's armor's helmet on a 4D adventure you'll never forget! PS: Watch out for Lucifer!

ALSO- IF ANYONE WANTS ME TO DICUSS IN DETAIL ABOUT MY 2nd IDEA I WILL, BUT NOW...I'M TIRED

The second idea is truly beastly! :sohappy:

For my original drop tower (then again, this could work for my hybrid idea, too) I was thinking of placing near the edge of Fantasyland Village, along side a new Pinocchio's Village, similar to a concept map for Disneyland Asia (Hong Kong?) featuring:

  • Pinocchio's Daring Journey darkride
  • The Village Haus Restaurant, relocated to East FL Village
  • A brand new Gepetto's Toy Shop, featuring sweets, toys, etc. (A toddler's dream, right? :ROFLOL: )

Also, I was thinking two more ideas, a Sorcerer and the Stone darkride and Merlin's wizard camp, and a Lady and the Tramp picnic/cafe area next to it, and a Aristocats musical show titled, "The Aristocats' Alleyway Jamboree", or something.

Also, (Oh no, more? XD) I was thinking the gigantic Fantasimic ride idea from the recent thread (not my idea, though, :animwink: ), reinventing the Mr. Toad's Wild Ride with updated technology and using the spinning technique like Roger Rabbit to give it a thrill, giving "it's a small world" the colorful treatment like Tokyo, and a water fountain with a similar Paris statue, and maybe even the create-your-own-doll? (Tell me what you think) Lastly, I was thinking about bringing Jolly Holiday Bakery from CA to FL. I know it's a mouthful, but, in my opinion, this would be incredible! :D

I love all your ideas: except the one I quickly had to bold...First, let me comment on your other ideas. I don't know if Sorcerer and the Stone is popular enough to have both a darkride and show, but if it is next-gen and done right either could be done :) I like the Aristocats idea and almost all of them after...Create-A-Doll could be huge and maybe even tie it in with Disney's Friends for Change (everywhere around the world is a helping friend and you could be too when you purchase and create a foreign doll from recycled[?] materials!) Now, I understand it wasn't your idea, but the thought of a Fantasmic ride makes me SICK  But, yeah, everything else is coolio :D

A Fantasyland dark ride would not be an "E" ticket.

I like your idea a lot and I think it would have been very popular because Tangled was such a huge success. It's just a shame that Snow white was ditched to make way for yet another meet and greet. I don't have a problem with them at all it's just I think it could have been put elsewhere and we could have had a Tangled attraction like you suggested or a Sleeping Beauty one.
