Thanks, ISTCrew20. Your vote of confidence has meant a lot in my decision to pick it up. For real.
This is my first poll and I suppose I could have given more options, but it was early and I had to get going.
For example, I thought of adding:
"No, go buy 'The Rundown' instead."
"Yes, if one really wants to."
"No, one should have seen it at the theater."
"Yes, but it's for the kids...not me."
...and a myriad of my other thought-of progressively idiotic choices (up to 15!). I decided to simply ask "Yes" or "No".
Bought my copy of Brother Bear today right after school ended. Can't wait to pop it into the DVD player (it'll be better than HOTR....I know that for sure! )
They love "opening week" sales these days. So, buying it this week would help send the message that you really enjoy this type of animation, and that you would go out of your way to support it.
Best Buy has it for $16.99, and today when I went, they had a deal where if you buy Brother Bear, you get $5 off another Disney DVD if you bought it at the sasme time, so I got the Alice and Wonderland DVD as well.
I highly reccommend buying this one! The movie is beautiful, and you're showing your support for traditional animation at Disney!
We saw Brother Bear in the thater and loved it! It was so nicely done!
Here at our house, we take turns buying the ones we really want...I bought Alice, and will be getting Haunted Mansion next month..(I loved that one too!)
Mitch bought Nemo and Brother Bear!
We will watch it tonight...can't wait!
As for films made since '89, I own Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Fantasia 2000, Lilo and Stitch, Finding Nemo, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Soon to add is Brother Bear.
I just really have no interest in the others (i.e. seen Toy Story dozens of times on TV), or just "stale" for me (i.e. Hunchback or Treasure Planet) - def. no sequels or the, in my book "sucky" films (Atlantis, Dinosaur). And I couldn't stand Haunted Mansion.
Buy the Video!
I pre-ordered and picked it up today.
Skip the Movie!
Go right to the Rutt & Tuke Commentary!
This is the funniest thing that I have heard in ages!
If you are a Canadian or an SCTV fan you will find even more about this to love.
These guys still rule after all these years!
