OK, I have never rode 7DMT, but on our next trip in 2017...yes I know I have a few days...I have been following the construction of it and excited when I saw it on video, BUT would I be too disappointed if I didn't ride it?

First rule of touring a theme park... never let anyone tell you what you should see and what you should not. The first time I went I spent the first half day running from one side to the other to see the attractions that everyone said I should. I quickly decided that it was ridiculous. At that point in time it became clear that no one can tell you what you would like or what you won't like. You have to see things and make your own decisions. Many times (especially on these boards) people will tell you how bad something is only to find out, once you saw it, that YOU liked it. If you try to fit everything into one trip you will be disappointed anyway. Look at a map and if you are going for FP's then make sure you know where they are and what else there is to see in between. On any given day, bunch up the FP's, if you can, to be in the approximate vicinity near each other. It isn't really necessary but it will help you plan better. Even knowing where they are will help that process on a large scale.

If you get lucky enough to go a second, or more times, you will then be able to weed out the ones that don't appeal to you and concentrate on others that you liked or hadn't seen yet. So I answered "YES" to you poll, but, not because I know you will like it, but, because you will never know until you have done it.

I vote yes. Some attractions are Disney are more successful then others, but I don't think there is any attraction I would tell someone not to try at least once.

I would attempt to ride it. I wouldn't wait an hour for it, but if you're looking at around 30 minutes or have FP+, it's definitely worth a ride.

Why not?

If you're worried about lines, by 2017 I think the initial luster of the ride will have faded and you'll be able to walk right on the train. Have fun!

I voted Yes, simply because you never know if you will like or dislike something until you try it. It certainly is not at the top of the list for a thriller, but the theme of the ride and the experience as a whole was a positive one. In my family (which may not work for all families but does for us) we go by one rule in Disney. If there isn't a health condition preventing it, you have to give everything a try at least once. If you do not like it, never do it again, but you will never know unless you try. We've brought children as young as 6 and this has worked for us, and I realize it may not work for every family, but I think a lot of us loved things we never thought we would remotely like, and hated things we thought would be our favorites.
