I have been having second thoughts about using Beauty and the Beast Castle in my park. Even though this was the castle determined by an earlier poll, and my second choice for the castle besides Cinderella's (which WDW already has, ruling that out), I still am not sure whether I should use this or not. I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to use Beauty and the Beast Castle, since it was made many years after Walt Disney's death, and that the Magic Kingdom castle should be a tribute to Walt by using a castle from a cartoon/movie that he was behind at Disney, or during his lifetime. BTW, Beauty and the Beast was made in 1991 during the Michael Eisner era, as he has been president of Disney since 1984.
If I should use another castle, I'm leaning towards Snow White's Castle; since Disneyland has Sleeping Beauty's Castle, and WDW's MK has Cinderella's Castle; especially since I designed this as a U.S. theme park, primarily due to familiarity with the culture. Also, I have no idea what WDI's policy about using castles for Disney theme parks is, so I have no idea what to do. One of the things I do know is that The Haunted Mansion is placed in a different "land" for each theme park (Liberty Square for WDW's Magic Kingdom, New Orleans Square for Disneyland, Fantasyland for Tokyo Disneyland, and Frontierland for Disneyland Paris), but that's another story!
Please LMK what you think I should do by casting your vote in my poll, which is attached to this message. I look forward to hearing from you!
