Should I be worried? (ME tags have not yet arrived)

I have 9 days and a few hours to go until I fly off to the most magical place on earth. 2 weeks ago, we called and scheduled Magical Express...and we have not recieved our luggage tags yet.

On this site, it says they arrive 10-15 days before your departure. I'm getting worried...should I be?

Even if you never get your packets you have NOTHING to worry about.

First thing to do, call DME (866-599-0951) to confirm that you have a reservation. Actually having a reservation in their computer is the only make-or-break item.

If you don't get your packet, STILL skip baggage claim and go directly to the DME Welcome Center. When you check in, they will ask if your luggage has DME tags on it. When you tell them it doesn't, they will ask to see your baggage claim checks to get the numbers from them. They'll also show you a ohoto array of every piece of luggage known to man, and you'll visually identify your luggage. With all of this info, they'll dispatch a CM to claim your luggage at baggage claim for you, and then bring it back behind-the-scenes and send it along with the other DME luggage slated for delivery to resorts. At the DME Welcome Center, they'll also give you bus vouchers.

See?! Even without the DME packet, you'll be just fine. No worries. Enjoy your vacation!

If you don't get tags, as stated you can still use the service.

One thing I did that helped speed up the process was to take a picture of my luggage with my digital camera before leaving and print it off. I would've taken hours to find my luggage style on their chart, but with the picture, the CM at DME was able to ident the type of bag in their system right away :D

A simple hint to save a bit of time if you have a digital camera [or a polaroid would work too].

What a great idea, thanks! I'll make sure my best friend does this too. My big red luggage with Mickey on it shouldn't be that hard for a CM to find!:)

The picture and try tying some matching ribbon on the handle of each of your bags, then show/give them the sample at ME. I believe someone else has done this, so it may work out well!
