should Disney remake BC?

should Disney remake the Black Cauldron to follow the books more? would you like to see it live action or animated?

While Black Cauldron is far from being my favorite animated film, I do see it having possibility as a great live-action fantasy. Especially if it is done right, with effects, scenery, and a musical score in the likes of HP and LOTR films. This could actually work.

I think Black Cauldron was too dark to be a successful animated hit when it was originally released, hence the poor box office performance. But as a live-action fantasy, it could work given if it is marketed correctly. Maybe even have this guy named Peter Jackson to direct. :animwink:

It would definitely be nice to see someone taking another swing at something which didn't work the first time, as opposed to a beloved classic.

I am probably in the minority with this movie as I really liked it. I saw it in the theater when it came out as a kid and I really liked it. I have never really thought about the live action angle but the more I think about it, the more I like the idea. If done right it could be good and be a franchise. I have never read any of the 5 books but BC is the 2nd in the series. Of course would the fanbase be there to make it worth Disney doing?:shrug: I doubt they would ever take the risk. But who knows, someone at Disney thought mars needs moms was a good idea.
