Well this is my first offical trip report; here goes!! We originally plan to fly down to FLA from MI but my hubby's plane is not ready to go,(he is a private pilot).So we decide to drive,now I have not driven to Fla in almost 20 years, the first time we flew down I was convinced not to drive again! Well this trip just reinforced my opinion! First of all we are leaving the day before Good Friday and the traffic is terrible, my 3 yo said in the middle of Detroit " How are we going to get the Florida with all of these cars in front of us?" How cute! The trip we uneventful, just SLOW:brick: . Going with us is myself, hubby , my 16 yo and her best friend and my 3 yo and 2 yo. We are meeting my sister and her hubby and 2 kids, 14 and12. Also already down there are my parents ,visiting my great aunt.
We left later then I had hoped and ended up getting to Orlando at 11 pm FRIDAY! Travel with little ones is slow. We check into the CSR and it is busy still at 11. The CM says the resort is full everywhere, no rooms are available on propery. Good thing we have reservations! We check in our rooms, the girls in one and the little guys and me and my hubby next door. The rooms are nice and we are happy but tired, we unpack and go to bed.:snore: We get up saturday and head to Pepper Market for breakfast , yummy. The weather is supposed to be rainy but warm, so we decide to stay at the pool/dig site today and head to DTD with the whole family at night. The pool is great , the kids love it, the little guys are a little wary at first, but end up having fun! It starts to rain of course and thunder and lightening and the close the pool and deck area, so we head back to the rooms to dry off and relax. We decide on lunch at Pepper Market and look around the gift shops and arcade. Back to the rooms to get ready for DTD, by now it is sunny again!
We drive to DTD for some insane reason I can't remember now and park in Timbuktoo. After a loooong walk in with the double stroller, dodging cars ect. we finally meet up with everyone. We find at Rainforest Cafe is a 3 hour wait and the kids are starving by now. So my Dad who is not the most patient person in the world, finds the shortest wait with my bil. While the kids , me,hubby, my mom, and sister goof around the stores and legos. We decide on Portobellos Itailan. The wait is 45 min the food is good but for all of us the bill is quite pricey, oh well, it is vacation afterall. Back to CBR after that, I wanted to go for margarheritas but too tired after all. More to come!!
