Shopping Pass available for Disney parks?

I was told recently that there is a way to visit a Disney Park to shop without having to pay an admission fee. She said that you could give a credit card deposit and you have 45 minutes to shop. if you go over that 45 minutes, you are then charged full admission price.
Can anyone validate this? I've been looking online.
Also, if this program is at the parks, which park would you visit?

Thank you so much!

This would be news to me...

but I highly doubt it's validity. There is no way to verify your time in and out of the park. True, they could associate a timestamp with your "ticket" when you entered, but you don't use your ticket on the way out. You would have to return to some checkpoint to "check-out" of the park. And the timeframe is very limited. It would preclude Epcot and Animal Kingdom. For Disney MGM or MK it would require fast in/out runs. Even then you would typically lose 1-10min going through the turnstiles depending on time of day.

I would simply suggest going to World of Disney at the marketplace as it has 90-95% of the merchandise available in the parks (minus the specialty stores in Epcot's countries).

There was definately a scheme of this type a few years back, and it may well still be running. I believe it involved some kind of deposit, that was refunded if you returned in time.

This was just talked about on another thread a few weeks ago, and this is what I posted there too
My mom was allowed to do this in Epcot a few years back. We forgot to pick up something we wanted to give to my dad as a gift and she went up to guest services somewhere and asked if someone could go get it for her, and she'd pay for it, they told her she was allowed to get it herself. They just took some sort of information from her, and she was allowed to go into Epcot for 1 hour

If you really want into the parks, just pay admission.

If you want to shop, goto Downtown Disney where they have everything.

Anything you could buy at the parks that wouldn't be found at Downtown Disney is going to cost more than 1 day's admission.
