Shopping at WDW

I don't know about you but I often have some items in mind for souvenir shopping at WDW and rather than wandering the parks looking for them I thought you fine people might be able to tell me right away where to find them.

If you want me to keep an eye out for something I will be there next week (Nov 18-25) so please feel free to post and if I see that item I can tell you where to find it.

Here is my list - hoping to get some Christmas shopping done while I'm there:

  1. Disney glasses that make fireworks and lights look like Mickey heads (they may not actually sell these anywhere but I did get them on a FAM trip and thought my sister and niece would think they were cool)
  2. Haunted Mansion Purse - I had thought the new HM store would be the best bet but just spoke to someone there and she said it's not in the store so maybe DTD somewhere?
  3. Beer/wine/shot glasses (or toothpick holders...whatever Disney wants to call them) is WoD the best bet or should I go somewhere else?
  4. Bar set - martini shaker, tongs, ice bucket - anything that could be used for a home bar. Again, I'm thinking if it exists WoD might be the best bet
  5. 2015 Calendar - was hoping to find something not cartooney.

Thanks in advance.

I have some ideas for a few of these.

2. If you're looking for the Dooney and Bourke wallpaper pattern ones, I would check the WoD room with all the jewelry & purses. And also TrenD sells D&B.

3. & 4. Check Mickey's pantry in DtD (is that still there? I haven't been keeping up with all the changes!) If it's still there, they have a lot of kitchen things. WoD will probably have a good selection for #3 also.

You might want to do some preshopping on the Disney store website, you can look at some of the park merch there. You can also view some of the Marketplace Co-op items too.

2. Tren-D and World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney Marketplace, Uptown Jewelers in the Magic Kingdom, MouseGear at Epcot, Keystone Clothiers at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Summer Lace at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

My wife hated it. Said it was the ugliest of all Dooney bags, but we don't care for HM or halloween, so our view may be tainted. The bag was sold out at some locations in mid Sept. When we were there.

All others on your list, try Wod as you already suggested. There is an info booth inside WoD but we have found it to be mostly useless.

That's a shame. I'll have a look at it and see what I think. I tend to actually find most D&B bags ugly. The new Vera whoever line is the ugliest I've seen imho. I may end up thinking the HM one is the best they've ever made. Different strokes, you know. I think I will probably like it (I say this as I'm sitting in my red living room with a black chandelier on my zebra print love seat) My tastes run towards the gothic/dark side.

Forgot about Mickey's Pantry - yes that is probably a good bet. Thank you!

Yes, different strokes. My wife loves the colorful, whimsical Dooney bags, and has a couple of the sketch ones. She also has way too many Vera Bradley bags. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Just returned from WDW yesterday.

Shot glasses are availabLe all over property. Each resort gift shop has a resort-specific shot glass, and the big stores in each park (i.e., Emporium, Mouse Gear, WoD) has a set of 4 parks shot glasses. You can get wine glasses at several Epcot shops, International Traders in World Showcase Plaza is a good one, or World Traveler at the International Gateway, and Mickey's Pantry is another.

HM Dooneys are not available in the HM shop Memento Mori, but in Uptown Jewelers with the rest of the park Dooneys. Memento Mori is pretty cool, I bought the shoes (!) for myself, the necktie for my hubby, and 2 pairs of placemats for my table. @epcotisbest gave you a very thorough list of places to get the Dooney. Personally, I don't "get" Dooneys, so to each her own. ;)

Didn't notice the fireworks glasses you describe, or any calendars.

Happy to answer any specific questions you have.

Wish my wife did not get Dooneys.

Just had to go look up the shoes. Those are adorable! Are they comfy?

Honestly, no not really. But they're not uncomfortable either. They are just basic "inexpensive" flats (if Payless sold these, they'd be under $20) And they are true to size. I am going to snip off the HM "button" (badge?) on each show--"viewers" will either get it or they won't. ;)

She is currently curled up on the couch snoozing...a maltese and maltipoo snoozing with her. Exciting times at our house. It is quiet and peaceful. Don't know why I shared that. Me and the ipad are watching NCIS.
