Does anyone know about "Shockwave" it's comming to WDW this summer, by the producer's of BLAST!

Haven't hear anything about it :( and haven't had the pleasure of seeing BlAST yet, but being a DCI fan, and having once auditioned for Star (didn't make it :( ) I'd love to see that type of show become more popular....Look at what Stomp did...maybe, just maybe....

"A rousing, non stop mix of spectacle and sound. A terrific good time."
- The Chicago Tribune

"It rocks the theater with the thrill of sheer virtuosity."
- Boston Globe

BLAST II SHOCKWAVE is the next generation of the 2001 Tony Award winning theatrical spectacular, BLAST! . With color, light. movement and music, this new production explores and explodes this contemporary genre with new cutting edge artistry. It is a soaring takeoff to new frontiers of sight and sound.

I've heard some of the new tracks. Sounds like another excellent show.

Trademarks come in many flavors. Fanciful terms, which are completely made up, warrant the highest degree of protection from infringement. Kodak is the best example of this. Then, there are words which are not fanciful, yet are related to a product/service, such as "Shockwave" and Macromedia. Because Shockwave is not a fanciful mark, it can be used by others for goods/services that are adequately different from one another. A performing group could call their show Shockwave, and a clothing store in your local mall could call itself Shockwave. However, pitty be on those who try to produce computer-related programs under the name Shockwave.

In a recent suit, Victoria's Secret won against a man who wanted to open a clothing store called "Victor's Secret." In this case, Victoria's Secret is so well known and associated with clothing that any phoneticly similar name runs a high degree of infringement.

So, if I wanted to create "Shockwave laundry detergent," that would probably be okay. I could also open a pizza parlor and call it "Blast." When doing so, the illustrated logo would have to appear adequately different as well.
