Shelling

We are going down in the spring and plan to spend a day or 2 on the west coast. We are going to go to BG and are thinking about spending a day at the beach. We hear Sanibel Island is great for finding seashells. Amy tips for this side trip?

Sanibel is great, as is Gasparilla Island for shells. You'll want to wear something on your feet because the beaches are covered with broken shells. Have fun!

I'm pretty sure there's shelling up near The Villages, out at the Army grounds.

You didn't mean the boring kind on the beach without any explosions, right?

Anyone have any suggestions that are closer to Orlando?
