I'm not sure I buy and sell through scottrade.com and you do not receive stock certificates.

The only thing that puzzles me is you would probably want the certificate for remembrance.

Yes. You will receive the annual financial report and an invitation to attend the annual stockholders meeting. You will also get a stockholders ballot so that you can vote on company issues. You may vote in person at the stockholders meeting, by mail or on the Internet. You will be given the Internet address and a code. I am assuming that you are listed as the certified "record holder" of the stock. If your financial institution bought the stock for you, then they are probably listed as the certified record holder.

You will receive this sometime in january, Also to note, the current meetings are being held in very unusual destinations that are not the usual tourists sites. Be prepared to arrive very early to get a seat in the main hall. I would recomend 5AM (NO JOKE). I arrived at one at 8:30 for a 10:00 meeting that started seating at 9:00 and was put in an axuallary meeting room , When I asked why I couldn't bee in the main hall I was told that there were people waiting since 5AM to get in and I was got there too late, So I only got to hear the audio of the meeting and didn't see any of the graphics the main hall got to see.

You ain't kidding. This year was Hartford, CT. Why, you may ask? Well, there was a (now semi-legendary) annual meeting in Anaheim. The Annual Passholders for Disneyland are known as a somewhat rabid bunch when it comes to changes to "their" park. They actually had the gall to question Eisner relentlessly on points that he didn't want to address. (Can you *believe* it? :animwink: ) After that, the annual meeting started taking to the road. Kansas City, Houston, and now Hartford. I'm waiting for the 400-miles-from-the-closest-airport annual meeting. Coming soon, to a city far, far away from you! :(

Personally, I think having it in different locations is good. That way it's easier for some people to go to a meeting that's closer to them than one across the United States.

I had heard that (and I'm not shure if it is true) the cities picked are where the least amount of shareholders live to delibertly make it difficult for us if we chose to attend a meeting. It was nice to go to a meeting in orlando or LA and then be able to go to the parks. Except for some historical sites that I am assuming are around the reagion, I don't think there is much to do in hartford except go to the insurance company tour:lol:
