Shadowlands

Hey here's an idea i've had for a very long time. it started with the whole "villains park" rumour. you know, the 5th theme park at wdw rumour. anyhoo that turned into "shadowlands" in some rumours and i took it and ran with it. i've shared a few of these ideas before so they may seem familiar. one actually got turned into a decent size rumour, though not because of me !!

alright...a theme park. still with me? good, let's see what else there is:

possible name for this park: shadowlands, shadowkingdom, villain kingdom, the dark kingdom, the empire of villains, villains & empire,

lands in park: Sleepy Hollow & Nightmare before christmas land (tim burton land!!), bald mountain & fantasia type land, old mickey land (everything black and white), centrepiece is malificents evil black and purple castle. a run down ghost town is main street.

now imagine old style black & white mickeys and minnies walking around along with Jack Skellington and all the villains.

you could have a nightmare before christmas show or dark ride and a sleepy hollow thrill/dark ride. also bald mountain E-ride coaster. mikey land could be dark rides/shows and kids area. ghost town could have restaurants and a saloon!! heh heh.

colour scheme for the park...thing Grey, black, purple and bits of white. the ghost town could be lots of dark browns and black, lots of fake dust.

the park would be great at night. wonderfully lit, very evil and spooky. ghost town could be foggy all night and candle lit, also lights from the above floors (windows) and street lights.

now the castle: instead of a fantasyland behind the castle have a huge lake of boiling lava (i wish) ok, water i guess! not just a moat, i mean a LAKE. the castle will be on a huge tall rock island and reach wayyy up into the sky. it can be tall, skinny, dark and spooky. on the backside of the lake is bald mountain. on the lake would be a nighttime fireworks show. basically fantasmic mixed with illuminations...and a volcano erupting from the centre of the lake.

oh man it's 3am. hope this makes sense...i think i spelled villains wrong...is it villians? anyhoo...it's a start and i'll be soon to get some drawings up here once they are done.

I'd like to refer you to my design for a park with the same name. I posted it about a year ago. Search under my screen name. We could compare notes. Mine is probably a little darker and more intense than yours would be, though, and has a lot of original properties in it in addition to disney villains and Nightmare before Christmas. Look it over and tell me what you think. good luck with yours!

I too created a villian park entitled The UnderWorld. Mine did not have any "lands" though, because the park was just about villians and I didn't feel lands were necessary. Your ideas are good though, but would we really need another castle as the main symbol? Why not use Bald Mountain? That's something new and it'd look really cool.

The park could in general have a ruined and unkept look.

no

in the spirit of walt disney, he'd never want anything to look "unkept" or "destroyed". he always wanted a tidy, clean part. however, in terms of a cool theme then yes it would be cool to have an unkept dirt look to the place.

i think the dark castle would be great because my park would revolve around the villains, so a castle is mandatory, plus it would be an evil opposite to magic kingdom, hence the ghost town main street and the castle. also, the lake around the castle would seem like 20k had flooded or something (i'm crazy)

sleepy hollow would go where frontierland is; heck even have a darth vader land or something for tomorrowland, and have villains land for fantasy land/toontown and nightmare before christmas for adventure land. you could have the sleepy hollow town be liberty square.
