Just found this while browsing around the good ol' WDW Cast Portal.

Effective Thursday, April 28, 2005, Seven Dwarfs Mine, located in Fantasyland, will no longer operate as a Food & Beverage location. Look for further information on the future use of this location coming soon.

Yes, it was. Then it was converted to Food & Beverage. Now, it's going to be empty space (though hopefully not for long!)

Yep, that's right. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they make Stitch an eighth dwarf and put a new Stitch gift shop there. :lookaroun

Another pin station!!!! ahh. It seems you can't walk 20 feet without seeing a pin station. Wish they could come up with something better.

This amuses me since the last time I was there - NYE - the park is bursting with people. And yet, I didn't see a single person actually stop in at the little food stand. No one even noticed it was there. The poor CM looked so bored!

Oh well. It didn't make a lot of sense for it to be there anyway. Not with the popcorn, pretzel and ice cream carts and Pinocchio AND Mrs. Potts all encircling it. I get they were trying for another Liberty Square bananna/apple/fruit cup type thing (which is a yummy snack alternative), but it was just a terrible location for it.

ps: Besides Liberty Square, you can also get fruits and "healthy" snacks in Toontown. ;)

You laugh at Stitch being made into the 8th dwarf... But look at the topiary in Epcot with the Snow White scene.. Who is in there?? STITCH!!!!

Whoops! You beat me to it. But anyway, there are the pictures.

Didn't that little area once do hat embroidery? I'm pretty sure I got my Peter Pan hat embroidered there.
Are we down to just the Chapeau for hat embroidery in MK now? There used to be two locations at times, but . . . ?

I can see a pin shop there. There isn't a major pin shop in that area now (although as a pin trader, even I am feeling they are becoming overkill). Odds are it will just stay vacant for a while. If there is no reason to open it then it probably will just sit closed.
