I particularly liked this letter:
Subject: More sequel outsourcing; Oz to close?
Dear Roy,
I'm hearing from several high-level sources in Burbank that DisneyToons Studios is outsourcing SIGNIFICANTLY more of their sequel work, including a new Tinkerbell movie, to the Phillipines and other lower-end TV animation factories like India. (Toon City in the Phillipines did the horrible Belle's Magical World, Atlantis 2, and Tarzan and Jane, and the new ugly Winnie-the-Pooh: Springtime with Roo.) This is a direct result of a new Eisner edict for all divisions to submit budgets with 20-25% cuts, and this is directly affecting the sequels. Australia is the only quality 2-D studio left; despite that, I'm hearing persistent talk from people in the know that it LOOKS like they'll be closing the Australian studio in the next two years, much like the did in Orlando, Paris, Toronto, and Tokyo. I sincerely hope that this closing talk is wrong. This would be a real loss, as I'm told that Sydney does top work, despite the bad stories Burbank sends them. Currently, Australia has Tarzan 2, Lilo and Stich 2, Fox and the Hound 2, and Bambi 2 in the pipeline for 2004 and 2005. The plan for Australia looks familiar: Deny that you're closing the studio, but start outsourcing digital ink and paint and inbetweening, gradually outsourcing more and more, and then finally closing for some made-up reason. They make so MUCH money already on their current business plan; is it ever enough? It's as if there's been a concerted effort to kill 2-D animation no matter if it makes money or not.
Hope this info is of some use to you. Good luck in your fight. We all support you 100%!

Don't forget this very true photo!
All I can say is, LILO AND STITCH. . . AGAIN?! or BAMBI V: THUMPER'S RETURN? or FOX IN THE HOUND II: FOXSKIN? or BEAUTY AND THE BEAST X: COGSWORTH'S REVENGE?
Stop Eisner. Save Disney. Save the movies!
Enough of that. Your comments?
