Been to Disney many many times...29 straight years....mostly summer months...but never been in september( 6-10). Going down with my son who wasnt able to come with us this past June. How are the crowds?...still need the fastpasses?

It's actually one of the least crowded times in the year. I should be heading up to the world about the same time. My family always takes advantage of the off season to enjoy WDW. Fastpasses can always be used. You still might want to pick some up though. But I don't think it'll be crowded at all.

We went last year during this time...right after Labor Day. Great time to go. You should be able to walk on (or minimal wait) on most rides. Other rides like Soarin and TSMM you'll probably need fastpasses.

29 straight years....You've got to be a professional now when it comes to WDW..Bet you can walk round the parks blindfolded..Anyway,we've only been 5 times, all in July.So we only know Disney when it's busy and yet love the crowd, sorry, party atmosphere..As far as FP are concerned..There free..Use them..;)

We are going September, and I have been checking the different crowd calendars. They are all predicting light crowd numbers as typical the month of September can be. I'm jumping with joy to do rides without looong lines and the chance to do more with our time. A great time for Dad/Son connection. You need those moments... enjoy your time together thoroughly.
