Having someone who has a paid membership to Touring Plans post the September calendar is cheating a bit. :zipit:

However in my experience the crowds in September will greatly depend on if there is a free dining offer again for '09. I've been going for roughly five years in September and decided this year that it is just too busy now to tolerate the heat and the inability to get any spur of the moment TS reservations. I have found that the week right after Labor Day is the slowest (once again, pre-dining plan) of the month. However, don't expect dramatic differences in crowds from the beginning of the month (after Labor Day) to the end of the month.

Still better than July.

I have been the past 4 years in September(For Free Dining). I always go a Sunday-Saturday. I have tried every week in September and have not noticed that much differance in attendance between weeks. Get park hoppers that way if a planned park is crowded you can check out another one. Yes it is HOT and HUMID(even by Texas standards), Yes it is a challenge to get ADR's(Just be flexiable)plan your touring around your TS's ADR's. Its a great time to go if you can handle the heat.

We normally go the week of September 1 - 9...have done so the last three years. This year, due to husband's work schedule, we need to go September 20 - 29. My understanding is we will hit the Food & Wine Festival towards the end of the trip. We love the first week as we have never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for attractions (with the exceptions of the big ones--the Mountains, Soarin, etc.). We are hoping for similiar crowds our new dates or not too much longer time frames.

I agree with the above posters. I too, have taken advantage of free dining for the last 3 years and September is getting more crowded every year, plus it's still pretty hot, PLUS you're talking the end of hurricane season...

...I'm thinking about delaying my '09 trip to mid-end of October next year...

Actually...September is smack dab in the middle of hurricane season. It runs June 1-November 30. September can be VERY active with hurricanes, but I wouldn't let that ruin any plans.

Thanks for that don't think we will be making many ADR's because the free dining plan in the UK is the quick service one i dont know if thats the same in the US, plus as a student I won't be able to afford to splash the cash!
After subscribing to the UG website, the crowds look pretty similar for the whole month really 7s and 5s so i don't think that should be too bad as I did go in presidents week this year and that was busy!

We too were planning to go around sept 20th for my big 40th, but plans have pushed it back till around Oct 3rd of 4th. A couple of questions to throw out there I am sure someone knows the answer too. DH and DF have done WDW Richard Petty last 2 times, is Daytona open in October? I tried to email them, no response. DD's bday is Oct. 4th, if we arrive that day around 1or2 pm does she qualify for the free day or 75$ card. Same goes for returning. DS turns 13 on the 14th, do you have to be there so many hours to qualify? Any ideas for special things to do? We will be celebrating my 40th then, DD's 10th, DS's 13th, mom's 65th, brother's 36th, brother's 4th anninv, our 16th anniv, and parents 44th anniv. Yes, we are very busy in early Oct. at our house.

For the past 11 years we have gone for 10 days starting the Saturday after Labor Day.

The crowds are fab! Over the years we have had good weather and bad weather. I like being able to get through MK in 5 hours.

We like having time for pool time and other things beside the parks. For the past several years it has been during free dining. It has not been an issue for us and we have not see the crowds grow because of it.

Folks do comment that reservation to certain places are hard to come by, but we have never had problems.

we have went in sept for the past few years. we just got back from our trip. sept 19-26. crowds were managable but if think u are going to walk onto a ride forget it. wait times ranged from 20-60 minutes. & that is the way it has been for the past few years. IMO i am skipping sept till there is no free dining. might jump to first week of Oct. still thinking about it
