"Selfies" with characters?

On Flickr, they are many photos of just the characters taken by real people. I haven't seen it in person myself but I'm sure you can let the greeter know that you just want a picture of the character and nothing else.

I don't think you understand what she was trying to say. A "selfie" is holding your camera out as far as you can and then taking your own picture with a character. Have to say I never saw this done at WDW yet.

Ah. Now I get it. I haven't done it myself but it'd be pretty hard to do up close without sacrificing quality. I suppose you could take a cell phone shot along with a regular camera shot, if applicable but when it comes to taking photos, never sacrifice quality is what I feel.

I feel like I've seen them around tumblr, but I'm not sure. Those pictures could be with cosplayers, either way it's definitely on my list of things to try next time i go

I know I'd never do a selfie, I have a difficult enough time not cutting peoples heads off and keeping the camera from shaking as I press the button to take the picture. I'd rather gamble having someone else take the shot instead of me doing it at arms length. I want to have decent photos to go home with. ;)

It's an art truly. Took me awhile to perfect it. I should start giving lessons.

I don't get the duck face or fishlips thing either. I also don't get why people take random selfies and selfies while they are driving. I get it if there is no one around and you are in place where you want a photo, but the random selfie baffles me.

If I didn't have someone to take the pic, sure. Otherwise, why? haha The cast member is usually more than willing to use your phone to get a pic ;)
