Seeing logos and and classic look at new Epcot doesn’t feel right.

Epcot is getting back the Logos for its attractions as well as it’s original look but It doesn’t feel right. Walking in and seeing Epcot and at its old font, prism fountain and logos is going to be a real tease. When I see the new Epcot entrance and it’s old futureistic look it puts me in the mood to see the Fountain, Spaceship Earth communication themed, a non Disney themed nighttime show and all the other lost rides and attractions.

Unfortunately, this is a trend of WDI playing the nostalgia card while simultaneously undermining the very theming and creativity that lead to the nostalgia in the first place. It is the ultimate cynicism.

It’s almost offensive being and Epcot fan and I just don’t get why. If they want to be nalstalgic put Journey into Imagination back to the way it was with improvement solving old issues and grandfather it only allowing small changes and refurbishments. Then we’ll talk nalstalgia. I understand communication is at a stand still but for crying out loud for a park that wants to be timeless bring back a timeless original. It’s a miracle The Land is still 75% in tact and I hope it stays that way.

I’m personally not a fan of going backwards - I want to see exciting, new, creative, bold visions and attractions. If you want to lean into original Epcot branding, give us new attractions worthy of the Epcot brand.

And if you no longer have interest in Epcot’s theme, get a new name, come up with a new theme, and go in an entirely new direction. It’s the lazy and cynical use of the retro Epcot logos while having no interest in what they meant is what is embarrassing for WDI.

I am always excited about change, just coherently themed change that’s better than what it is replacing.

It's like this...
"Hey! You love the retro inspired work we got rid of before 1994...Well, here ya go...We also have a Star Wars.....
