Yeah, that's pretty much not true. It kind of used to be, up into the early 90's when the ride was just called Snow White's Adventures. That was a nightmarish scream factory. When the ride was completely overhauled it was simultaneously made significantly less scary while also adding the word "Scary" to its name.
I think it is safe to say that my family spent more time in and around that ride than any other non-Cast Member on the planet (and probably more time than many Cast Members as well), and I can count on one hand the number of children I saw coming off the ride crying. It was seriously an extremely rare occurrence, at least in the last decade while I was around it.
I personally did cry on it, once. But that was kind of a special night.
