If you have ever played SeaWorld Tycoon before, chances are you thought it was cool and a good way to spend about a half an hour playing then you got bored and got a snack and did something else.
Well that was the old SeaWorld Tycoon, now, new for 2005, comes SeaWorld Tycoon 2 and yes me being a seaworld freak, I went out and bought it and I have this to say..
OMFG This game is the best!!!
The graphics are so much better, new music, now when you click on SeaWorld Orlando it is actually the same land and structure as SeaWorld Orlando, all you need to do is put in the rides! Its awesome!
Now your park has nighttime and daytime effects. The sun does go down and makes your park dark and there are stars in the sky and spotlights turn on and any lamps you have in the park turn on. Its truly amazing!
Another cool aspect is now you can actually do this routine where you have to train the animals in the shows (like KeyWest Fest, and Shamu Adventure) you have to do this thing with the arrow keys on your keyboard to try and teach the animals tricks.
You can now view The Shamu Adventure as a guest, you can also view Key West Fest. The lighthouse on the key west fest show lights up at night!
You can click on ANY guest and click on the eyeball icon and see the park from there view!
You can ride rides like Kraken, see animal exhibits like Turtle Point, Pacific Point Preserve, and more!
You can take a ride on your SkyTower and see your park from way up in the sky!
You can angle your cameras in different positions and zoom in and out.
You can position your camera right behind Clyde and Seamore takes pirate island and actually watch Clyde And Seamore take pirate island with all the characters fully animated and movable.

This game is great! Once I got this game I played for 8 hours straight without realizing it (and I never play video games!!!)

So if you got 20 bucks handy, and your walking through the mall, stop on in and purchase this game. You to will enjoy it!

It's definitely a step up from the first one. The first one wasn't worth the cardboard it was boxed in. This one was okay, IMHO. I found the lack of a tutorial to be really annoying - I had to figure out where everything was just by clicking random buttons for about 20 minutes. And the way you "train" the animals... ? It's like DDR. Very random, and has nothing to do with actual training.

However, I agree with what you say about giving the game a more realistic edge. They actually try to really put you into the game.

I'm glad I spent the $20 on this one, but I doubt it will get as much play as some of my other computer games.

Thanks for the review. I actually just bought Sea World Tycoon, and while I like it, I had no idea there was a second one in the works. I will definitely have to check it out! I'm also a big Sea World fan.
