SeaWorld tours make your visit to Seaworld parks that even more enjoyable and educational offering you special experiences you will never forget. I wanted to create this posts to give you all a chance to post tours you have done and give a brief review of what you did and what you thought. There are not many places out there that has much information on tours offered and I wanted to provide a place where we can post that information so vacation planners can have some info at their hands. So post away :)

One of my favorite tours was Wild Arctic Up Close Tour. You meet just outside the attraction and talk about what’s going to go on and then you take a backstage way into the habitat. First stop is lockers where you empty your pockets and anything loose on you so nothing falls in with the animals. After all done you head to the fish house where you will see how meals are prepared and learn some fun facts and get to ask the animal care team some of your questions. After this segment we headed over to see the harbor seals which are not on display at Wild Arctic. You learn their stories and then they bring them out for you to meet up close. Feed a fish or two and touch them and get some great pictures. Everyone gets turns with them. Next stop we head to the beluga whale habitat. Get up close with them but not in the water with them. Feed them fish, do some hand signals, give them a hug and pose for pictures. Lastly we got to meet a walrus. Once again feeding them some fish and posing for pictures. All along the way learning fun things about the animals, how they live, how SeaWorld cares for them etc.

So far this is my favorite tour i ever took. I will add some pictures later but this is a not to miss tour. It runs about an hour long and you get to do have some amazing animal interaction time. Have questions post them and I will be happy to help.

Neat idea for a thread! I've heard good things about the Wild Arctic Up-Close Tour.

I myself have taken three of the tours at SeaWorld: Behind-the-Scenes Tour, Beluga Interaction Program, and the Marine Mammal Keeper Experience. I'm not going to give away too much information :) , but I'll post a few things about each one.

What I like most about the Behind-the-Scenes Tour is the focus on animal care and rescue. You come out of that tour really appreciating the work that SW does for the animals. Plus you get to touch a shark and a penguin. :)

The Beluga Interaction Program was neat. You do get very up close with beluga whales, and you'll be with an animal care specialist during the beluga whale interaction. One thing I underestimated was how FREEZING the water was! EDIT: IIRC, the water is 50-52 degrees! My hands were in pain from touching the water. But hey, you're up close with beluga whales! There are professional photographers capturing the whole interaction, and I did buy the photo CD because I really liked how the pictures came out.

And of course, the MMKE. LOVED that one. You basically follow an animal care specialist for 8-ish hours and get up close encounters with many of the marine mammals in the park. I highly recommend this one if you are interested in a career working with animals someday. Very worth it.

My mother loves beluga whales. So for her 50th birthday, i bought her the interaction, she loved every minute of it. She was really excited and have not seen her smile so much for awhile. It was money well spent for me.

Thank you for sharing Sehsun. I love what you had to say there. Marine Mammal Keeper is one tour I have always wanted to do just have not had a chance to do it yet. The beluga tour sounds exciting but very cold :)

I also have done the Dolphins Up-close Tour which also was very good. We started out at Dolphin Nursery where we went and heard how they take care of mama and baby and how they care and train for the dolphins. We watch a scatter feeding with some behaviors being done. We then took a walk over to Dolphin Cove where we had a chance to feed the dolphins but also give hand signals and have them respond to us. There are people all around taking pictures who get some amazing shots of you interacting with the dolphins. I highly recommend getting the photo CD. My CD had about 30 photos on it of us having fun with the dolphins and then it also had some stock photos too. This is another tour I really loved.
