If you purchase from Sea Worlds website now you can save $10.00 ei: $69.00 adult $61.00 kids.
Sites like RetailMeNot.com also keep up to date with current promotions offered. I'm not sure when your going but I know last year McDonalds and Wendy's had promo codes in the summer that could be used for online purchases for tickets to that were good for a year that were $20.00 off per ticket. We went this past trip as one of our 2 non disney days. You can really see the difference in how their employees are compared to Disney cast members. Not as friendly and the place was so expensive. If you drive parking is not cheap but I do recomend getting there early and paying the extra couple dollars for the VIP parking that is near the entrance because the standard parking is so far away. Taxi is an option so is the bus that leaves from across the street from Downtown Disney (but then your locked into a city bus schedule for timing). The shows in December pretty much required you to find a seat an hour before they started because of compacity limits. Abd their Sting Ray coaster - do not be fooled by single rider line it took longer then the actual line did, I couldn't believe it.

we're going in 7 weeks, just trying to work out whether to get tickets here pre-ordered or wait til we there and see if we can get a deal over there?

Remember to include taxes! mapleleaftickets.com and undercovertourist.com are actually cheaper once taxes are included. They're both reputable sites, I would use either one.
