Seats in long lines

Hi everyone! We took our first Disney trip last year. We planned it out but still had a few long lines. After a long day, I remember my feet/legs were in utter agony. I'm not old or unhealthy, so these body pains are totally foreign to me.
This year our vacation planner is doing our fast passes for us and we hope to skip long lines. BUT IF WE DON'T, I am considering carrying a telescopic seat in my backpack. I am having surgery on my knee in a month or so (our trip isn't until November) and right now it hurts all the time. I can't sit on the ground because like the old lady I am growing into, I also have serious back pain (only if I sit on the ground). I want a backup plan if I feel like I need to sit. I found an item called a "pocket chair" that looks okay. I want to be able to carry ONLY a small backpack/purse (again, back pain y'all) so the chair would have to be light weight and small.

Has anyone ever used something like this? Have a recommendation on what chair to buy?
My worst case scenario is a wheel chair. I'm totally fine with that except that I don't think I will need it until several hours into the day and I'd be embarrassed to look fine (except for my knee brace) and be wheeling around with it.

Rent an electronic convenience vehicle (ECV).
My Mom uses a lightweight foldable "walker" that has a seat and storage basket underneath. That night work too?

A pocket chair would be useful, although park guidelines state that all folding chairs are forbidden and will you not be able to enter the park, though pocket chairs are so small I'm not sure whether they would come under that rule.

Another problem with pocket chairs is that they are so low to the ground it would look kind of awkward but if you don't mind people giving you funny looks in line then go for it. Another problem is that lines move almost constantly so you will have to keep getting up and moving every minute so it would be impractical.

Sore feet is something everyone at WDW gets but if it becomes such a severe problem then renting a wheel chair or ECV are available, although as you state, they can be embarrassing when people stare.

I agree. The people that give you a funny look, something I believe is mostly in the mind of the beholder anyway, should not be of any concern to you, if pain is the factor. Jumping to conclusions should be an Olympic event, the Americans would win it every time.

Frankly, the reason why you are using a mobile device is no ones business but your own. You paid a lot for the privilege of being there, not enjoying it should never be an option. Until those people have walked a mile in your shoes, they should have no say, spoken or implied, in making you feel bad about it.

It might actually work for resting while waiting in lines, but would probably be a problem on the actual rides.

On a more serious note, I have found that taking short breaks before my feet/legs get completely worn out is much more effective than trying to recover once they are completely exhausted. I have also seen canes that fold out into a small seat - that might be another option.
