Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone here has been seasonal from out of state. I finished my cp and then activated seasonal status however I'm looking to go down in May to work my one week (maybe 2 or 3) and I have no idea where to stay! I really am not that worried about making money while down there since I have a job here for that however I have no need to go more into debt either. Any suggestions?

I know that seasonal CP alumni can stay at the CP housing but i think the limit there to stay is two weeks, not sure but you can find out that info on the college program website. I have many friends who live in the Orlando area and are able to take me in when I come for a few to visit and work. Are you driving or flying there?

actually the CP sent out an e-mail to campus rep saying that they are starting up the summer only program again for alumni only.... and in the FAQ part of the letter it states:

"In the past, we have welcomed Walt Disney World College Program Alumni to return to work in their former locations as seasonal Cast Members for as little as one week, and they were allowed to stay in our Walt Disney World College and International Program housing complexes. With the continued growth of the Walt Disney World College Program, we are no longer able to accommodate seasonal Cast Members in our housing complexes. Alumni still are welcome to contact their labor offices to inquire about available shifts; however, they will be responsible for finding their own housing."

So your best bet would be is finding some one you know, or finding a cheep hotel to stay at or...... i don't know what else, but i'm sure there are more possiblities.

Hmm, I can't work all summer (the job I'm at pays more and I need to get thru college) so I guess I'll be looking for one of those extended stay type places. Thanks for telling me that they used to have housing for cp alum though because I thought I was going crazy (could've sworn I'd heard it before but the manager I've been emailing never mentioned it).

I ended up staying at the Palm Lakefront Resort and Hostel. It is $16 a night for a bed in a six-bed dorm (which is basically a hotel room that they have put bunk beds into. Overall I found the place to be clean and the people staying in my room were nice though I didn't spend much time in the room since I was either working or in the parks. Hope this helps!
