I wasn't sure where to put this....

We check out of WDW on a Thursday and DH was thinking if the kids are still in good spirits we could take them to Sea World. I would prefer Legoland. So what do you guys think? My kids are 2.5 and 4.5 DS is 38 inches and DD is 40 inches.

I think Legoland would probably be fun and I know they're adding something...it was on the news a while back...but you're going to have done tons of rides at WDW and Uni, so I'd go to Sea World.

Sea World is a unique experience. You can see Shamu, the dolphins and even feed the seal lions (if the birds don't swoop down and steal the fish you threw, lol.) Flamingoes and penguins and an elephant seal...high divers and dancers and a Pet show...there really is a lot to see and do, if you're inclined to do those things. It's a beautiful park, too.

Sea World was just on the news. Well, a story about an endangered turtle who was injured by some kind of circle fishing hook was in the news. The end of the story was that Sea World took him in and is nursing him back to health, hoping to release him when he's better.

I don't think you'd see that turtle, but it's a wonderful time. It's my favorite of all the Orlando parks.

I think it's a good age to do Legoland. Most of the ride limits are 36 inches, so your son will be able to do pretty much everything.

He won't be able to do the Dragon or the Power Towers, but your daughter will (riding with an adult).

Neither of them will be able to do Test Track or Flying School...but, even if they were tall enough, I'd say that's not a bad thing (for you)...they are both rough rides!

We did both this past June with my 3 and 6 year olds. Legoland is great for little kids. They could do most rides. Is it going to be warm when you are going? Legoland also has a small waterpark attached to it. We got just the park tickets without the waterpark, but it was hot when we were there and I saw a lot of people heading to the waterpark area. I was kinda jealous.

The kids enjoyed SeaWorld as well, but we did have about a 2 hour wait for the new penguin ride since it kept breaking down. Legoland is cheaper, but it's kinda in the middle of nowhere so you have to drive a little to get there so it's a trade off. I would say if you regularly visit the area you will probably get back to SeaWorld again in the future, but Legoland is really geared towards little kids so your timeline to return is more limited since your kids will outgrow it.

If you watched the CNN broadcast of blackfish ( a documentary on seaworld and their orcas) your mind would be made up! With that being said, I vote Lego land! Or if you haven't been to universal it's always a favorite!
My thoughts exactly. I truly believe that if everyone saw Blackfish, they would never step foot in that place again. Please see it before you make up your mind to bring your children there. My vote is for Legoland!!!!
