I didn't know there was a game that came out about "Sea World" but i would love to see a Disney World Version like this but anyway I went by Best Buy this afternoon n looked at the box of the "Sea World Adventure Park Tycoon" and it looks cool but the Kraken Roller Coaster Kinda look like it has been smashed together or somthing.

But overall it looks cool.

Speaking from the point of view of a tycoon game fan and a SeaWorld fan... it sucks. I was really disappointed. You have no control over individual animals (a la Zoo Tycoon). You can't even rotate some of the buildings when you put them in. If I recall correctly, you can't even change entrance fees. It's really not that great. :(

I'm a big Tycoon fan as well and a Theme park lover. For the price the game is plenty fun. Sure there are some negatives to it. It does get repetitious, you can only build attractions already existing, and you cannot rotate camera views or some attractions. But for a value market game it is very good. There are some innovative features. You can invest in Animal Rescues, the more you save and help animals in the wild the better it reflects on your park popularity. You can also improve attractions with research giving you more animals or other new perks making people enjoy that attraction experience even more. It's mildly entertaining to sit back and watch some of the shows. They do begin to repeat, but there are several signature moments from the Shamu, Dolphin, and Clyde & Seymore shows built in. I think some additions such as entrance fee pricing, Fish booths to feed the animals, and totally new ride options would have improved the game, but then it would have made it need to be more expensive in retail. Best thing is you can get this game for about $10 (after shipping) on Ebay.

I would like to see a Busch Gardens parks, Universal Parks, or Disney parks game done in a similar but slightly improved version as well. I mean half the reason you would buy a particular themed game is to just be able to see in detail a recreation of that park and have the ability to place things where you see fit, so gameplay can slide a little as long as the price is not high. If they charged $40 or $50 though, then the gameplay had better be up to par as well. Just my 2 cents. :)

Yeah, I can see how those are all good points. I was just really disappointed that you didn't have more control over the animals in your attractions and exhibits.

Why the heck would they choose "Sea World"? That's such a boring park. They could of made Disney, with all 4 parks, what a seller that would be. Let's just hope for that in the future.

Well, I don't find SeaWorld "boring" at all.

But to answer the question. It is one of the few parks where nearly every attraction is the same at the sister parks. So they can have three different parks to work with without having that many different attractions. Their are only a handful that are unique to one park or another. Again, this is a Value line of Games being sold for $19.99 or less in all stores Brand New. :)

Well i hate sea world aswell and think it is very boring but I bought the game and it is quite entertaining if you're bored......

ehh it just all around sucks...there aren't any good points, I play it for an hour and i get bored....you can't change the rides, and the rollercoaster animation is HORRIBLY, it like watching a slideshow on fast speed....if i knew it was that bad, I wouldn't have bought it...thats $20 I can't get back!! :brick:

I wonder why a Disney Theme Park Tycoon game hasn't come out yet? Seems ususual that Sea World Tycoon would come out first, especially since WDW is far better known and has the highest park attendance of any park in the world, let alone the U.S.!

Exactly! Disney World / land doesn't need the advertisement such as Sea World! But I still hope for a Disney version only better!
