They have a website and showroom you can visit if you are in the area:

http://www.mousesurplus.com/

I need to make friends with this person/people. Very tempted to bid on the Sea Cab. It brings back memories. I could see the article in the local newspaper now - "Crazy man gets a divorce after his wife finds out he spent $1500 on something called a Sea Cab."

Considering they are extending the ride track, they would need new vehicles anyway to fill the extra space, so I imagine they are just getting a new ride system. They must be building these in bulk along with the new Buzz rides.

I'd rather have a nice little collection of the alien encounter seats, give them back to disney ask them to put the ride back.

I saw a picture of one in Tony Baxter's house and decided I had to have one . . . problem is they're not easy to come by, and when you do they're expensive, so I'm currently at work on fasioning my own out of plywood (based on the original Disneyland version or Toad cars). Temporarily at a pause because I don't know how to make the front of the car, which is supposed to curve such as this:

I don't think I can afford sheet Metal (15 years old and already saving up for something else . . . :D ), which would be my best bet, and luan snaps when I try it. Corrus, you'd be good for this, any Ideas?:D .

Well, I've got a seat and a shoulder harness I would gladly donate if you could locate and collect the rest of them from Mousesurplus and the rest of the peopl eout there who bought them :D .

You might want to get working on that, it might take a while.

No need to apologize. I'm just joking. To a degree - I really would like to buy a Sea Cab, but it would pi** the missus off. BTW - trying to build your own Mr. Toad's car is very cool. I would love to have one of those. I've been drooling ever since I saw the pic Corrus posted.
I wonder if parts of Horizons are floating around...

Try a really thin wood like "door skin" it should curve easily for you or try wetting the luan with water to get it to bend, then if you need to make it stronger cover it after it dries out with a thin layer of fiberglass cloth and resin like they do in say boat building! :)

:hammer: Didn't even think of putting it in water! Thanks for the tips! I'll be sure to try them!
