SD card query

Hi all,

Only 10 days to go!!:sohappy:

Was wondering if anyone could tell me of a place I could buy an SD card or two when I arrive? Staying on International Drive, and I can't remember seeing anywhere last time I was over that had them. Most, if not all, of my £'s are now in $'s for my holiday, so we would just buy them over there.

Any help would be appreciated!

You may want to order them on amazon.com before you go. Just the other day I got 2GB SD cards for 15 bucks a piece on there, which is pretty darned cheap. I think for two of them plus shipping, it was still less than the price you normally find for one. Here's the link...

with normal retailers you're pretty safe .. just don't buy @ebay .. 60-80% are fake (and so of inferior quality)

I don't know when you are arriving, but if you are able to get a Sunday paper prior to buying the card then look in the sale flyers of the Sunday paper. You wont need to actually find the store that is selling them at the cheapest price but instead just take that sale flyer down to the local wal-mart and they will match the price.

The only caveat is don't look for them to price match on off brands as the item has to be an exact match. So look for the cheapest Sandisk SD cards... you can usually find them advertised at various places for between $20 and $25 a piece for 2 GB chips.

The people at the place you are staying should be able to give you good direction to get to the closest walmart.

I arrive on Thursday 30th, so will check the Sunday paper - thanks for the tip Deadmanwalking! That sounds like the best option for us.

Checking for sales is always the way to go. You can get them at WalMart, Target, Staples, Office Depot, just about anywhere really. Try to avoid the specialty camera stores and the like as they will probably be higher in cost.

Walmart on 535 or Target on 192 will be your best choices. Nearest Staples to Disney is way up John Young Parkway, i think.

Most of the IDrive places are way overpriced in addition to selling inferior products/fakes/ect. I never bought from any of those tourist traps.
