scrapbooking extra challenge

LOL like you all need this.

this assignment should you choose to accept is to practice something. in my case i tried the chalking using the inner glow. this is easy so i want to see everyone give it a try.

pick one thing that you found or find akward and practice it and post.

OK - here is my attempt at chalking. The one on the left was done using the inner glow. The one on the right was done using an action I bought from Atomic Cupcake.

The new challenge is to create a clipping mask. This is something I have just learned to do - I can post a link to the instructions if anyone needs it. You choose a pattern or picture that you like, and make your letters out of it. On mine, I have also bevelled the edges to try to make it stand out as if it were cardboard.

i just looked at that, and we don't have a clipping mask, that i know of.

would have to fool around and figure something out, because i know it can be done. just not with a clipping mask.

What I would really like to do, would be to 'cut' shapes and letters out of patterned paper, (digitally), the way we would cut real paper with a paper punch. Or the way we cut shapes out of dough with a cookie cutter. I hope that makes sense! I'm sure there must be a way of doing it, but I don't know it!

I know how to cut some shapes in photoshop, but those shapes are already in PS, and I would like to do it with letters also.

isn't that what you did with the letters up above? the word pink, isn't that a sort of cut out?
