Scavenger Hunts at the parks

When we were down to WDW back in June 2013 ..... We stumbled upon the pirate scavenger hut in the Magic Kingdom and the Perry the Platypus one at EPCot and my son and husband loved doing that. Is that is something that is still offered at the parks? Are there any other Scavenger Huts there or at other parks?

The Magic Kingdom also has the Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom game. They pass out little cards at the fire station by the front entrance.

Didn't DAK have something similar at one point?

Yes, they're still up and running.
That Pirates one would have been brand new when y'all were there. I recommend doing this one at night because so many of the props/stunts have cool lighting elements that can't be seen during the day. Fewer crowds too, since waiting in line to activate a prop is lame.

The Phineas and Ferb one was originally a Kim Possible-themed game, but was re-themed and slightly upgraded.
There's actually a neat homage to the previous scavenger games hidden in Adventureland among the pirate props.

There was also a small Muppets Most Wanted interactive hunting game last spring at EPCOT. It wasn't as elaborate as the Kim Possible/Platypus hunt, but it involved some neat puzzle elements.

It's not a scavenger hunt per se, but at Animal Kingdom they have the Wilderness Explorer program.

Back in 2011 my wife and I participated in the great disney scavenger hunt put in by D23. I read at the time it was the only multi park hunt backed by Disney. It was lots of fun/ challenging. There were around 400 teams if I remember, and it was run very well. It was timed, and the the guide books were handed in at the end if each day ( it was a 2 day 4 park hunt). I remember being humbled as a so called disney expert since most of the items on the hunt were not general knowledge and required actually riding rides to get the answers. It really made for a unique way to see the parks and I learned a lot!
