Scary Stories From The Haunted Mansion

Does anyone have any scary stories from the Haunted Mansion?? Surely there are a Cast Member or two who would love to share some.

I've been over to www.doombuggies.com quite a few times and read most of the ones there. But I thought we'd have some people on the boards with some good ones.

Btw, I just posted in another thread about being stuck inside the HM for about 35 minutes. It got a bit freaky after awhile. My friend and I both SWEAR that we saw someone running in the back of the graveyard (from the 'Fat Lady' area over towards the singing faces). Maybe it was a real ghost! MUUUHAHAHHAHAH! :lookaroun

This isn't exactly a ghost story, but it is about HM. I went to the Doombuggies site and was looking at Audio. I realized I have one of the albums listed. It's the Orange "Chilling Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted Mansion" Album. I saw it on the site and thought "I HAVE THAT!!!!" I have several Disney Albums from when I was little and that was one of them. If only I had a record player
:(

I got the album out to look at it, and inside (where the actual record is stored) it has all types of Halloween games. If I had my scanner I would scan it in. It's really interesting. The outside says it's 1964 Walt Disney Production, but inside on the paper it says 1973.

Some of the games listed are: Snow White's Apple on a String,
Guessing Game, Word Game, Fortune Teller, and Toss the Ball Game. On the other side it has "Spooky Party Hints" You're Invited Invitations, Decorations, Lighting.

Anyway, just thought it was interesting to find it after all these years. (Just gave away my age didn't I :animwink: )

I had a conversation with a Cast Member that worked there. She's a college student, on the college program trying to become a Dancer, perhaps some of you know her. Well anyway, she was telling me about "George" in PotC, and said that he was real. Supposedly George was a construction worker, working on PotC, when he got hit by a pipe and was killed. Now he haunts PotC...:)

Well.. to try to get back to the subject. I read on doombuggies.com a story about a teenager who apparently tried to jump over the wall in the Seance Room. He didn't make it and fell and died.

Now, every time I'm in that room, I'm constantly looking around for the teenaged ghost who now haunts it.

Can anyone confirm this story?

There is a short wall that surrounds Madam Lenoa at the seance(sp)? table as you circle it.There is a pit that is below the floor level for the workings and such.

Never really noticed it. I probably have, I just don't remember. Anyway, how would the kid die from that?

There's like a 15 foot drop between the wall and the seance table. Apparently he fell and broke his neck.

LOL! Well.. there definitely is a drop... but I've never worked at the HM.. so I don't know for sure. And, OF COURSE, now that I look back at doombuggies for the story - it's not there.

Perhaps a CM on the board can confirm some of this??? Anyone?? Anyone??

It's still there, at Doombuggies. http://www.doombuggies.com/tales.htm

The Following Copied From the Doombuggies site:

"I also heard a ton of stories about a real ghost being in the HM who walks around the sets. I never saw anything walking around by myself or riding and could never prove anything. This is not to say I don't believe in spirits, but I never found any in the HM. There was a man killed there. And the creepiest thing was that I met the daughter of his friend who was with him when it happened. During a Grad Night, I believe, two guys were in a doombuggy. One climbed out at Seance Circle to get to the Madame Leota effect. Well, in front and behind the ride path is a drop of 10-15 feet to the floor. There is a wall on each side for people walking the track (painted black of course) but there was a huge space between that wall and the platform where Leota's table was. He climbed over, fell, and broke his neck. It was creepy to run into the daughter of his friend...and this wasn't even at the park. We just happened to be talking about the Haunted Mansion."
