Savings when booking with AAA/CAA

We usually book our WDW trips through CAA up here in Canada (would love to try Kingdom Konsultants, but easier this way for a variety of reasons) and it never seems like we are getting THAT good of a deal by going through them. I read on sites like this one about people saving anywhere from a couple hundred dollars to even more sometimes and it seems like the price we are given with CAA is usually pretty close to the price I get when going through the Disney website on my own.

Case in point; we booked our trip for this coming March at the local CAA a few months ago and were given a total price of $2742.02 for our family of four (wife and I and kids aged 12 and 17). That is for the 10 day magic your way hopper ticket and fun pass for all four of us and a standard room at Pop Century for March 14th to the 24th. I just checked on their site for the same vacation package at the same time and was quoted a price of $2886.58. That means we are saving $144.56 by going through CAA.

Does this seem about right? I realize we are going during our Spring Break up here and it is considered Peak Season, but I just thought we would save a lot more than that by using them.

we book through AAA, and we always save atleast $500.00. This year for my husband, myself and our 9yrold(we have her as an adult be cause she can not live on mac and cheese) staying 10 nights, 10days food, and 10 day hopper $3072.00 for oct30-nov9 at all star movies in a preferred room. When I called disney itself they quoted me $3558.00. so for us it pays to book through AAA.

Is it because we are going during peak season that we aren't saving that much then I wonder. Don't get me wrong, 144 dollars is 144 dollars. I just thought we would save more for some reason.

We went during Spring Break which was Peak season last year and I priced AAA and Disney directly and got better through Disney.

Really! So should I phone WDW directly and asked them for a quote and should I tell them that I already have my vacation booked through CAA/AAA and that this is the price I am paying for it or just leave out that CAA part altogether? I am really curious because it never seems like we are saving THAT much compared to other people I see on here.

It wouldn't hurt calling wdw and finding out what their price is. I don't think I would mention you have the CAA. Just get the info

20 days to go!!!!:sohappy:

I just booked through AAA for our upcoming January 09 trip.
I had previously reserved through Disney, and brought the Ressie with me to AAA. 10 day PH/Water parks with dining & 9 night stay at POR, and AAA saved me over $300!
Needless to say I booked on the spot, and cancelled my other ressies.:)

Also, I believe you can't book the AAA package through Disney. You can only book a room only reservation with a AAA discount.
If you want the package savings, you need to go through AAA direct.
